Maybe the subversion of Penfold being heroic would've been more effective if they didn't try to do it almost every single episode, and the plot wasn't funny enough to make up for it. They're also correct that Greenback shenanigans deserve more screentime, they're trying to shill this to older people who watched the original and likely never even knew about the reboot.

He did get a second appearance as a contestant on Who Wants to Marry a Queen? in series 2.>the "Ian had so much potential bro" phase of /co/ was straight up terrible manIt's funny that a few years ago you couldn't even say something like that without a bunch of anons going mental. It wasn't a bad phase per se since it's nice DM managed any form of resurgence at all, but it was definitely annoying at times. I'm still glad it happened overall, it introduced the show to a lot of people who never would've seen it otherwise. I guess you could say it overstayed its welcome.
