Some decepticon leaders purposely exterminated female transformers considering them an abomination and an insult to vector sigma and the decepticons, producing week inferior transformers that require years of resources to be useful. Despite being the most romantic and erotic of the transformers, being treated like human women confuses them. They do not have similar personalities to human women. To a lesser extent I think that would have been the end game for Daniel and Arcee. Season 4 and the Daniel Arcee relationship got really weird. Arcee had become obessed with Daniel enough to let him live in her head and to risk the death of her race just to save him. It was something way beyond the motherly expression we saw in the movie. There was probably a plot thread with the exosuit, Daniel almoat being crippled, becoming a head master, where when he was older he'd jusr kind of become a transformer and be in an implied romantic relationship with arcee. Sure, that would have painted Arcee as a groomer, but no one worried about that in kids cartoons back in 87. The writer would have been focused on writing wishfufillment stories for 12 year olds. Daniel had already gotten a transforming suit and befriended a giant robot dinosaur. Back in the 80s they would just write wish fulfillment episodes for the mod viewers. Kid becomes ghostbuster.
