I don't like Tom DeFalco. Him becoming editor-in-chief was the beginning of the end for Marvel. Also his handling of the Hobgoblin storyline is the first major fiasco in Spider-Man history.

The foreward was spent by Christopher Priest and he literally spends the entire forward coping and seething about the marriage. Like, there's some interesting insider knowledge of what was going inside Marvel at the time, but this is supposed to be a prestige collector's item celebrating a classic era of Marvel. >>154609753Yeah you can tell that really melted priest's brain, he ended his friendship with shooter over it too. While everyone else at marvel disliked him for being shooter's shadow. On the hobgoblin topic, he's the one who decided to make hobgoblin the guy HE killed, and didnt change that at all, just boggling. Suprised his panther run is good cause holy hell.Id say its about on par with stern, the spidey stuff stern did better, but the peter drama defalco does is imo the best since conway's, and really feels like the character's concept maturing.

If anything tying kingsley to the main plot made his reveal as hobgoblin later feel less out of nowhere.The ned thing was just owsley being stupid, especially after he killed him off. If he hadnt done that it would have been okay.
