You are now aware of the 9th Grade Ninja pilot episode with holy shit such smooth animation.

So yeah Cat Ninja obviously has the superior storytelling, graphics and everything wise compared to Murphy & Mitzi, but it's not really indie since it's backed up and published.

Ironically Cat Ninja is better than 9th Grade Ninja in two regards:
Better recurring villains with their own ideas.
No useless fat friend Cartman to drag him down or whine to him.
And this one is questionable if it's good or bad: Cat Ninja goes the DBZ way turning some villains into heroes. Meanwhile Randy is all alone just like Peter Parker and honestly would have been better off as a solo act than Ginger Cartman or Gus from Robot Boy.

This could easily be turned into a comfier Monkie Kid if they allowed Flying Bark productions to animate it. Also technically a black & red ninja series did get animated it's called Randy Cunningham 9th Grade Ninja, /co/ used to have threads about it way back in 2010-2012 along with Motorcity.

At least Randy Cunningham had an ending(which was obviously phoned in) unlike Tron Uprising and Motorcity that were left hanging the air and were expecting a special/movie just like Monkie Kid.
That's why comedy shows never suffer from a lack of ending, there is no story to end. Albeit even fucking Dexter's Laboratory had an ending. Not sure if The Power Puff Girls had an ending.

/co/ is too poor to afford Scholastic comics. Those guys who actually pay for comics went to /a/.

I started a thread a few days ago regarding GI Joe Renegades and it had some healthy discussion. I'm almost done with the series now, only missing the two part finale, but it's been a great ride. I like the A Team setup, makes them real underdogs as they fight Cobra and avoid the authorities. The characters are fun and varied, favorite is Tunnel Rat with his comic relief and just general smart aleck who actually carries his weight around. The action is the typical censored stuff for kids, which is always amusing when it's literally military personnel but I just suspend my disbelief about it.

Is the original series any good or is it mostly nostalgia? The clips I've seen that aren't parodies do come across as a bit janky (though on par with shows at the time).

On the broader topic of action cartoons, it does feel lacking these days. Looking back, action cartoons weren't simply action but layered dramas. Watching Justice League and seeing the characters have ethical debates about how to deal with certain issues, or even personal things is really cool and stays with you. The fun fights and powers are the icing on the cake.

Everything has a pilot episode. It's so you don't go into production of a whole series before seeing what it would actually look like.

Unless of course you're watching Swat Kats.

That 4-parter used to be on Youtube now it's gone and only 1 part is available. Are the stinking /co/ bots in here reporting everything?

Kart Monroe
The cat from Danger Rangers
Arlene from Garfield
Princess Carolyn
Unikitty
The cat from that Ryan’s World shit
Aeris from VGCats
Jana from Epic and Jana

I think that’s enough.
