While digging through some backups I found a 'bookmarks' page I created back in the early aughts. It is at least 23 years old. It was a list of webcomics that I read as an HTML file with links to each one. I used to have it set as my startup page in Internet Explorer. Anyone remember making webpages in Notepad? And they hold some kind of little convention for the comic every now and again. CuteWapsi Square - Still around but hasn't updated in a few months. Their kid just got diagnosed with Type 1 Diabeetus :(.Sinfest - Still around but the author died back in 2016 and was replaced by a racist doppelganger (just like Paul McCartney was in '66)Alpha Shade - Stopped updating back in 2016. The site hung around until 2024 thoughSaturnalia - The author is still around but abandoned the webcomic and went proPVP - Still around but retired. Stopped updating in 2022. 24 years was a good runAltermeta - Site it gone but the author still has a Patreon and updates it somewhatApplegeeks - Completed. Has a published comic series called Rema Chronicles.Over Under Tokyo - Long gone. Made by 'Tokyo Cab Driver'. That's a name I haven't seen in 20 years.Sexy Losers - Was long gone but then returned!Paradox Lost - Died in 2009. The author used it as a personal site with all of their art for a long time but then disappearedMiss.Dynamite! - Still around but abandonedThe Pet Professional - Long goneOut of 31 titles on 6 are still updating and most are completely gone from the internet. Outside of a few archives and some broken Wayback Machine pages they are lost in time, like tears in rain.
