They're back thanks to the Imperial event. And more or less back to their status quo before the Inhumans push: everyone in the royal family is alive, and the relationship between Black Bolt and Medusa has been restored. But now what? Will they be background characters in space events, or do they deserve a new book?
I hate to say it, but background is where they work best. They're part of what made Marvel feel like a living universe alongside characters like Impossible Man and other races like the Skrulls and Kree.

I understand the push to take the x-men place because they didn't have the movie rights. It's business. Try to make more money with what you have. I didn't understand why they made them giant assholes while they where pushing them in the comics. Wasn't the whole point to get people to like them enough to go see there movies? Obey or die while we prance around like 16th century imperlialists euros doesn't get the public on their side in comic universe or in ours. No seriously I don't remember a single comic from that time period where they didn't show up and be dicks.
