does /co/ like Babs? I'm enjoying it so far but for pretty simple reasons. Sword and socrcery, booba, and crude humor. I like the art style too. Seems Ennis likes working with Burrows.
>>154616870I don't enjoy sword and sorcery or Jacen Burrows, and I'm not a big fan of Garth Ennis when he's trying to do comedy, so I will never read this.
>>154617512what do you like
>>154616870I just don't get the sense from reading that book that Ennis is interested in fantasy all that much, so he can't spoof it well.Disenchanted had a similar issue.
>>154617532I like Preacher and Hitman, which have plenty of comedy, but it was younger Ennis and I forgive him for his brand of crassness. Either way, I've had my fill. I like rude comedy, but I don't think Ennis' brand is worth visiting in his 00s work and on.
>>154617663i havent read much ennis besides this so maybe i would also be tired of it by now if i were you .
>>154617593I only read the first issue, but that was my takeaway too.
>>154617593Kinda yeah
Boobies are too edge for Ennis.he is a wanker.
>>154616870I read the first issue and Garth kinda ruined it, he tried to strike a balance between woke and edgy and it just ended up feeling strange
>>154616870This might be good desu but honestly I’m so tired of boomer barbarianslop whats so cool about barbarians and why would anyone under 40 be interested
>>154616870Phoned in and cringe.
>>154620102>BoobiesFaggot.
>>154620568What a shame
>>154616870I'm generally an Ennis defender but this really sucks shit, it's among some of his worst work.
>>154622092is it worse than Marjorie Finnegan, Temporal Criminal?
>>154622123I didn't even bother with that one so I wouldn't know
>>154616870Babs is the Boys equivalent to sword and sorcery.Tries to much but it feels mostly half-assed. The art is good though.
