Paramount-Warner Bros is considering leaving California and moving their operations (and all their animation and comic industry jobs) to Texas
https://www.semafor.com/article/07/12/2026/paramount-weighs-leaving-california-over-warner-bros-rift
>>
>>154617036
a based move unironically
>>
>>154617036
>moving from shitsville to yee-haw land
>>
Hooray for... Texas
>>
>Texas

they only move here after being libtards and fucking up the place. typical commie fornian

anyways, if they do i hope this gives middle americans a shot at making toons and not cal farts drop outs
>>
Sounds like an expensive logistic nightmare.
>>
>>154617036
that's one way to kill WB, sure
>>
>>154617067
theoretically they would save money by moving to texas over time since california taxes the shit out of everyone.

lots of hollywood productions are already outsourced to states like georgia
>>
>>154617055
A literal move, they’re not hiring locals , they’re likely going to ask important employees to move.
>>
>>154617036
honestly, all the studios should leave Commiefornia
>>
>>154617036
Not even finishing the merge and already thinking of leaving.

>>154617123
Probably just the main office. Production probably still be in Vancouver and other places, doubt any actual filming will be done in Texas.
>>
this is a GOOD thing.
>>
>>154617058
Texas is shitsville too. It's all Indians
>>
>>154617177
Paramount trying to get the Bollywood crowd.
>>
>>154617058
Texas is literally California 2.0. Guys like Hank Hill have been the minority there since 2005.
>>
>>154617194
>you will live to see a racewar between Indians financed by Jewish money and Mexicans financed by Jewish and cartel money in Texas within your life time
I'm convinced the people who still want immigration only want it so that absurd scenarios like this can exist
>>
>>154617036
They are gonna probably move it to more liberal friendly areas like Austin for example
So expect more woke content now with a indian bent regardless of it being in a red state
>>
>>154617036
They are going to go bankrupt within 5 years and then Netflix and Disney will buy up everything worth owning for cheap.
>>
>>154617036
good riddance. Better for all parties involved.
>>
>>154617036
Hollywood film unions unironically killed the industry
>>
>>154617120
Land is also cheap in Texas
>>
>>154617066
In a decade they'll be moving to the next state when Commiefornian faggotry corrupts Texas so badly that they can't afford to do business there either.
>>
I support this, if only because Texas deserves to become the new Hollywood.
>>
>>154617036
Does Texas want more Hollywood and Hollywood types inside their state?
>>
>>154617237
Well, it didn't work great when the first Immigrants to Texas came over and fought a war. Didn't even try to assimilate to the non-slavery culture of the country.
>>
>>154617036

Pointless bluff. Would cost a massive massive amount and take literal years to do. They'd have to find new employees because not everyone is going to move to Texas. Much of the infrastructure they need for filming does not exist in Texas in a sufficient quantity. It would take a minimum of half a decade to realistically do this and it would harm the company in that time. Trying to do it suddenly would basically be suicide.

This isn't Twitter. There are resources and infrastructure you need that can't just be teleported. They could move slowly over time. A sudden move isn't possible.
>>
>>154617036
Can't wait for them to be there for 10 years and then suddenly "to be strategic in financing and budgeting", return back to California- they did this shit in Florida back in the 1990s and failed, same shit will happened again
>>
>>154617897
I dont think Texas will allow that, they are some of the most stubborn people on the planet, the moment lizards try to sink their teeth into Texas, their teeth will break
>>
>>154617897
>In a decade

The process's already started. Do you think it'll be that long?
>>
>>154618904
>they are some of the most stubborn people on the planet
Doesn't matter if you get outnumbered by foreigners
That's kind of the point why all these billionaires are for replacement, they want a more malleable public with zero roots to the place
>>
>>154618986
>Doesn't matter if you get outnumbered by foreigners
Not even Mexicans can break thru, thats why they go thru California, one of the reasons US has been cracking down on birth certification is because they know Cali is gonna collapse under its own foreigner deceased weight and they dont want that bubble to pop all over the country. Texas especially will not allow such nefarious things to happen to them
>>
>>154618904
It's already happening.

>>154618911
I say a decade because it will take time for more and more commiefornians to move to and takeover Texas's major cities. Then they'll vote in retarded politicians, probably Indian, who will implode the economy and send all of those big tech and hollywood types running again.
>>
>>154619058
>Not even Mexicans can break thru
lol
That is pure cope. This entire nation is doomed exactly because of this arrogance. This is the same arrogance that the South in general had about slavery and now they are stuck with millions of blacks which is something that no one back then wanted
>>
>>154617036
Good way to lost all their talent. Moving from Commiefornia to Texas and experiencing the shitty weather and the enshitificates venues and services would cause everybody to pack back to the West.
>>
>>154618117
Paramount is already the more conservative studio in Hollywood so I don't think this effects the Texas political demographics much

It's a bluff. California is trying to block their merger so they're threatening to leave California to make them relent.
You just have to read the first sentence of the article.

Paramount is made up of Conservatives and actual real people that genuinely like the USA. There are no Hollywood fags among them to change a damn thing in Texas. If anything it's moving to a more sane location for their own sanity.

They can move some offices, but the larger sum of what they do can't be done in Texas.

Even Marxists who claim they don't, do, and support the same shit the billionaires want. You never see them threatening violence on companies that hire cheap labor but you see them out in force to prevent "racsim".
All modern politics in democratic nations are a joke.

Texas anon checking in. Everyday this place is turning more in California by the day. First it started with the tech companies moving into DFW & Austin, & now this. It's bad enough we have a black problem, but also Indians & Muslims are moving here too. And seeing how quickly the enshitification got as bad as it did in California, I reckon I'm going to have to white flight somewhere else. I don't want to live in a brown shithole.
>>
>>154621165
>real estate and rent are cheaper.
Rent & real estate has gotten more expensive here due to foreigners moving here. Home prices haven't gotten any better.
>>
>>154617036

I bet you that they're going to move to Austin
>>
>>154619214
That's what people said about Tesla and all of the other big corporations that moved out of California with the last few decades
>>
>>154618904
Texas hasn't been white since the 1950s. We're getting more brown by the day. It's already starting to suck here.
>>
>>154617036
is there enough of an animation scene even if small to justify this? I feel like it would make more sense to move to colorado, and I might be biased because I live here, but the south park creators came from colorado and there actually are animation schools teaching here, the only thing is it doesn't really make sense to stay in colorado after graduating since there are no studios and everyone I know moves to cali to get jobs. Paramount could change that if they came here
>>
>>154622311
Tney don't want animation, they want lower taxes. Either directly or from California giving them a carve-out to stay.
>>
>>154617036
No shit, they turned conservative and of course want to leave commiefornia.
>>
>>154617036

I'd rather kms than relocate to texas for work. A lot of people in the animation industry probably feel the same.

Texas has not been a majority white state for 20 years, you fucking retard. It also had more blacks 50 years ago than it does now and more blacks 100 years ago than it did 50.
>>
>>154622412
Latinos are convinced they are white, especially since anti-Catholic sentiment is no longer part of the Texan WASP identity.

They were always your people. California is just returning to sender after New England jews imported a bunch of shitskins and retards into Southern California to work the industries they were setting up there back when the land was cheap and worthless.

Actual Californians live in the northern mountains and Central valley.
>>
>>154617036
Good luck with that. Everyone is in California because that’s where everyone else is and there’s a night life and shit to make it an enjoyable place to live.

Texas has nothing to offer on than front and as we all know their electric grid is isolated from the rest of the country so it’s going to be a shitshow when you already have people regularly dying from the heat/cold whenever the grid goes down because republicans absolutely hate their voters and won’t even do the bare minimum to make sure their grid doesn’t just fall apart every time there’s a sudden drastic weather change.
>>

This is just a threat to the AG's to get them to layoff on the lawsuits because after September 30th they have a ticking fee where every day the cost of the merger will go up by around $6.7mil given the financial state of both companies, the financial state of the ones funding the merger and the already exorbiant price that was paid due to the bidding war it won't take long for Paramount to just not be able to afford it. But they can't really cancel it either because if they do cancel the merger they are on the hook for $7bil in break up fees which is half the companies market cap.
>>
>>154624514
Plus they get to make daddy look even dumber because he personally intervened on paramounts behalf so that they could turn CNN into an even bigger shill for Bibi
>>
Like it or not, all the talent is in California. They're delusional if they think artists are going to move to Texas just for them.

>>154624450

This may actually be the play.

The merger was already stupid- Paramount is vastly overpaying for WB, which is saddled with a mountain of debt of it's own, having spent more on it than all of Disney's acquisitions COMBINED- but then you factor in how Paramount barely has money to keep the lights on. Seriously, Nickelodeon as a studio doesn't really exist any more beyond Spongebob and Avatar because Paramount is desperate for a hit.

But adding in the retardation of having a deadline for the merger and breakup fees, state AGs and the EU could feasibly drag this out to the point that never mind it being an idiotic decision that will likely kill both companies, Paramount may just plain not be able to afford it in a hard math perspective. Like, it could legit sink them whether they push forward or pull out.

I think this nepobaby that bought Paramount just plain doesn't have a head for business.
>>
>>154617036
uh huh

so they just don't want to be a studio any more?

>>154617066
they'll have sold off the filmmaking parts of the business by 2030; those will never functionally leave CA because doing so would massively decrease their value, since having a studio outside LA is fine - in other countries, in Georgia etc - but the only reason this prick is trying to move to Texas is because he thinks he'll be able to turn it into a non-union shop

now there are actually non-union shops in filmmaking, and they don't get to use the big filming studios worldwide (because those are all union shops with reciprocal agreements because holy shit, read about how things were under the studio system and before that sometime, nobody is going back to that just because Dickless McNonut is rich and wants them to work for nothing), and they tend to be like anime redubbing outfits that are notorious for not even paying at all never mind on time, for shitty working conditions, etc

so the only real reason to move to Texas and become non-union would be because you really think El-Onmus is gonna send his CP generators to space and you'll make movies For Free, which is so far from understanding how aigen works, let alone how much it actually costs or how much it's going to cost, particularly when infrastructure projects that have stalled end up not happening and the backend chipsets made for them get made but can't be sold because they're useless for anything else, I mean my god

you'd have to be fucking dumb even if you thought aigen movies were the way forward

and this is why companies have shareholders, who'll be looking at this, looking at how pre-this idiot the company was worth 4x as much, and thinking nah, not today pal

it's a nothingburger
