Would you be willing to watch an indie slapstick cartoon?>each cartoon would be 11 minutes long>it would have a dynamic pace where slower, Regular Show-style banter builds up to slapstick shenanigans>Background art would recreate 21st century appliances (flatscreen TVs, digital microwaves, etc...) in Tom and Jerry style matte paintings>The modern setting would mostly be a backdrop rather than some "Bugs Bunny get ipad" shit>swearing would be occasional and akin to what you'd hear in adult conversation (a "hell" here and an "ass" there) same with other types of adult content (people would drink and smoke but you probably won't see a lot of hard drugs)>the animation will emulate 90s/2000s traditional cartoons.
Modern "slapstick" always devolves into disgusting ironic body horror, because the creators have no class or restraint.
>>154622038Examples of this?
>>154622060Anything after Ren and Stimpy, except Ed Edd n Eddy
>>1546219123-5 minutes
>>154622223Fair enough, I'm actually planning to have an EEnE thing going on.>>154622234Eh, i actually think i can write something engaging enough to warrant 11 minutes.
If it's funny I'll watch it.It's up to the cartoon to sway me.It's that simple. All that other stuff that you're talking about is a nice preference, but in the end, if it's not funny, why bother?
>>154622234I'd argue that's the lower limit. Just long enough to not kill your audience's attention span.
