>Split narrative between Alan Scott (Jeremy Irvine) in the 40s, Guy Gardner (Finn Wittrock) and OC Bree Jarta in the 80s, and Jessica Cruz and Simon Baz in the 2020s.
>Overarching storyline about the fall of Sinestro (Tobias Menzies).
>40s segment follows Alan becoming the first human Green Lantern and protecting the world while struggling with his homosexuality. Abin Sur, Kilowog and Rot Lop Fan also appear.
>80s segment follows Guy and Bree investigating the Dominators as they assemble the Alien Alliance and execute a series of coordinated attacks across the universe. Sinestro, Kilowog and Arisia also appear.
>2010s segment follows Jessica and Simon fighting the Manhunters, who have kidnapped the Guardians of the Universe. Kilowog, Tomar-Re, Katma Tui and Mogo also appear.
>Sinestro is the leader of the Green Lantern Corps in the 80s, but the Guardians exile him after he subjugates his homeworld Korugar in a misguided attempted to protect it.
>Hal Jordan is referenced as Sinestro’s human partner in the 80s, but doesn’t actually appear because WB was saving him and John Stewart for a movie.
>The Manhunters want revenge against the Guardians because the Guardians abandoned them after they malfunctioned and massacred sector 666.
>Jessica and Simon encounter the Indigo Tribe and discover that the Manhunters were actually reprogrammed by the Mad Guardian Krona.
>The season would end with Jessica and Simon fighting Krona, who causes a “temporal imbalance” transporting Alan, Guy and Bree to the 2010s in season 2.

Would it have been better than the show we are actually getting next month?

Maybe it. It sounds like it had a lot of potential to fuck up. The actors they had planned for Alan and Guy don't really seem fitting for the role. Finn especially - I can picture him getting knocked out by Batman in one punch, but I can't picture him crushing a beer can on his forehead and then fighting an alien bare-handed without his lantern ring.

Why you keep posting this garbage fanfic?

>Finn especially
But you can see 60's year old Nathan doing any of that?

Tobias Menzies would be wasted on capeshit.

I could see Batman knocking him the fuck out in one punch, yeah. But otherwise? Naw. Maybe 30 years ago he could've been an abrasive wiseass version of Guy, but I don't think he's a good choice for Guy now and I don't think he'd ever really have been.

I didn't really hate him in Gunn's Superman, but I didn't really like him, either. It could've been a lot better, but it also could've been a lot worse.

I'd be hard pressed to name someone that I think would be a good choice, too. I admit that.

He should have been Hal ages ago—it’s exactly the kind of role that fits Nathan’s usual play style. His portrayal of Guy felt more like a poor caricature of the character.

He did alright voicing him in a couple of the animated movies.
