Who are the top 3 live-action Lex Luthor?
>>
>>154643305
Scott James Wells looks the most like Lex to me, but acting wise I guess rosenbaum and hoult
>>
>>154643305
Spacey
>>
>>154643305
The best Clark and the best Luthor
>>
>>154643305
Sherman Howard by a country mile
>>
I didn't know there were this many live-action Luthors. Hell, I didn't even know there was one before Gene Hackman.
>>
>>154643517
Lyle Talbot was also the first live action Commissioner Gordon
>>
>>154643305
Cryer
Welliver
Rosenbaum
That's not a ranking
>>
>>154643338
Yeah, he has the chin and jaw. The others just look like eggs.

Howard is the closest approximation to anything that’s actually in the comics.
Jack Cassidy SORT OF played Luthor in the Superman musical (aspects of Luthor were basically divided between two original characters). If they had made a Superman tv show in the 60s he would have been the guy.
>>
>>154643572
He was unquestionably the craziest irl
>>
>>154643305
Kevin Spacey
Jesse Eisenberg
Joshua Tomar
>>
>>154643305
Bearded Luthor feels wrong somehow.
>>
>>154643305
I used to watch Lois & Clark as a kid and even I knew with my minimal Superman knowledge that Lex was supposed to be bald. He did briefly go hairless when he came back from the dead, at least.
>>
>Michael Rosenbaum
>Kevin Spacey
>Gene Hackman
they have the sauce but I heard Cudlitz was great even though i didn't watch the show

I've thought about it and Jesse's performance is really good but not fitting for Lex. If he was Mad Hatter he would be beloved. Dude fucking rhymes in a bunch of his dialogue too. I hope they do bring him back for Mad Hatter or something of that caliber. Maybe if I rewatch BvS in that lens it won't be as jarring.
>>
I want to say I really like Jon Cryer as Luthor except for his ears stick out too much and not being able to separate him from Two and a Half Men.
>>
Have not seen a few, but to rank five of the ones I have seen: Shea>Hackman>Spacey>Hoult>Rosenbaum

I didn't realize Lex was in Titans. Is that show worth a watch?
>>
>>154645443
I don't think the idea of Modern Lex as tech bro billionaire is awful, either, but Eisenburg's performance is Tommy Lee Jones as Two-Face, what are you doing bro-tier.
>>
>>154643305
Some of them look like Professor X.

There's nothing he can't do and he spent his time with the producers of Titans talking about DC Comics the way a lifelong comic book nerd would
>>
>>154643615
Cassidy would have argued with the producers and the scriptwriters, been miserable to everyone on set

And he would have defined the character for decades to come
>>
>>154646588
Saying all bald dudes look the same?!
>>
John Shea was underrated, if they'd got him for more than one season and change and convinced him to shave his head or put the bald cap on earlier I think he'd be an all timer
>>
>>154647153
Dude was functionally Charles Xavier and he refused to go bald for that, it makes a weird kind of sense
>>
>>154643402
Truth.
>>
>>154643305
why does the two and a half men guy look black and or Latino when he's Lex
>>
>>154648758
It's from the toxic residue of his paint on hair
>>
>>154643305
Hackman and nobody else. Special mention for John Glover as Lionel Luthor, carrying Michael Rosenbaum all that time.

What made Hackman special was you really really believed he might just shoot a bitch because he's a villain, but he never actually does because he's in control.
>>
There is no three.

Only one.

Michael.
>>
I wish Clancy Brown did Lex live
>>
>>154643305
>Who are the top 3 live-action Lex Luthor?
Only LexHoult is fuckable. So only he is top tier.

>>154643338
Rosenbaum is a good actor but since Welling has gotten fat and wears baseball caps like someone balding that do nothing for his bulging cheeks face, Rosenbaum isn't even worth fucking to get to Welling. But yes, totes a good actor, probably best live action Lex on TV, but that's a low bar to clear given the shitty DCW versions.
>>
>>154643402
You misspelled Peter and Harry
>>
>>154644911
>>154643650
>>154643348
>Spacey
ew
>>
>>154643305
Spacey because even with the goofy ass script he could.be able to portrait Lex as a scary monster.
>>
>>154644911
>Cudlitz was great
He was. And the show was better than I expected it to be.
NGL, I was originally against him as lex but he managed to pull it off well. And Cryer is by far the worst.

Rosenbaum clears
>>
>>154643629
Yeah a guy that handsome has probably murdered a couple bookers in his time
>>
>>154644813
Yes, but not as wrong as John Shea's.
>>
>>154646524
Eh, no. Lex is in maybe two eps, and it leans way too hard on Gotham stuff
>>
>>154643305
I will give Nicholas Hoult credit he was actually Lex Luthored by David Corenswet in real life
>>
>>154643305
Kevin is unironically a great Lex with an amazing look. I think my runner ups are Michael Rosenbaum and Nicholas. Gene is a great actor but he doesn't really look like Lex imo.
>>
>>154645443
I was really excited when I heard he was cast because I thought he'd just do his Zuckerberg performance again with maybe a bit more charisma for "public face Lex" and instead we got rambling, unfocused nutball guy.

Best Wally West and Best Luthor
>>
>>154643305
Hoult and Rosenbaum are my top 2, as for the 3rd...I'm honestly not sure.
>>
>>154644860
I think '93 was around the time when he was faking his death and shacking up with Not-Quite-Supergirl.
>>
>>154643402
Smallville's only flaw is that DC wouldn't let them use Batman.
>>
>>154656247
Forgot to mention: in this incarnation he looked like ginger Rob Zombie, so maybe this guy was going for a similiar feel. Or just didn't want to be Bald, but honestly if an Actor's going to pull that, recast or tell him to stop shaving.
>>
>>154656265
He should have appeared at least once before season 6, then here and there for special episodes like Bart did. I don't mind Green Arrow once he settles into the main cast, and unlike Arrowverse Ollie, this version isn't just a Batman stand- in. Bruce would have overshadowed the show if he was a regular like Ollie was.
>>
>>154654572
Tom looking mighty zesty there.
>>
>>154643305
No one tops Rosenbaum
>>
>>154643402
Truly the best live action version. The cold war between Lex and Lionel was the best
>>
Hoult is my favorite because he reminds me of Pete from Mad Men.
>>
>>154659137
Pete? You mean the Scarecrow?
