Uhhhhh since im here I'll share that I plan on making a thread on EasternEurope & slavic animation today. Supposed to be a general thread, technically the third one since the other was archived before it could reach 20 poststhere's another anon out there that wants to make it a thing & really want to help them out. discussion of old/new animation is welcomed. will try to have it up at some point today. Oh & apologies if posting this came off as rude, like barging in on another thread or something. Just wanted to share since I know threads like these don't last long. My knowledge of Russian cartoons is pretty limited. Mostly only aware of some of their darker stop motion and and some of the ones that have been brought up in threads here on co that have a, lets say, "limited focus" on their subject matter

The creator is this Russian girl that has a fuck ton of controversy. I'm not sure how much of this is true because there's a language barrier but the drama is about how she has a Nazi AU of her characters, likes toxic ships, and has a jealous stalker? It might have gotten her to give up making more. I don't really watch animated content that isn't in English, let alone Russian, but it was appealing enough to watch

If we are strictly speaking Russian, then I say On the Road With Clouds because it was just a happy little cartoon, not to mention the themes were composed by the absolute GOAT Vladimir Bystryakov (he also did the songs for Treasure Island and Alice Through the Looking Glass). The Adventures of Baron Munchausen was also pretty good, and when I was little I used to think Munchausen and Mung Daal from Chowder were related.
I can't the find the yt channel anymore, but there was this russian that made simple jaiden-like animations using text-to-speech for voicing the characters. I particularly remember one about a girl with social anxiety whose mom forces her to go buy bread, and another that was making fun of what I imagine were russian hipsters going to watch some pretentious art-film.Any idea?
