Anything HeMan with SheRa.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RjNY174ui5g
>>154655648What did we overall think of Netflix's tenure with MotU?
>>154655664At least they were not forgettable.
I need to watch the Kevin Smith Netflix series again to see what was wrong with it. It came during a time where the discourse online was so insane that you cannot talk about anything with women in it.
>>154655664They should've had whiplash or spikor.
>>154655648Shouldn't she be called She-Woman?
>>154655989She was named She-Ra or Shera because it sounded like Hera from the Olympian goddess.
>>154655648Imagine looking at this and saying "This is too womanly for me. Make her a temu moeblob dyke and then I'll like the show."
>>154655648big boobs means big power
>>154655784Going in with no context of He-man I found it medicore. Not great, not bad, somewhat boring short of dangling key moments it did, the story was clearly trying to shift away from He-man and be about Teela so take that what you will. After watching more and reading a bit on the brand I understand the hate now, it's like the 2003 F4 movie where it's just taking the cast and doing whatever they wanted with them and ignoring who they were.

>>1546560302015.The 2005 was decently similar , the 2015 one is the Fan4stic movie
>>154655648With the original show getting a full blu-ray release, I want to know how good the show is from anyone who’ve seen it.
>>154656983Its literally watch it all on their youtube channel. You can tell for yourself if it's all that or not. It wont be as an adult because you needed to had already enjoyed it as a kid to have any room for why you enjoy it as an adult. Or any other incarnation that was rebooted growing up from the original.
>>154656053I remember enjoying Shera a bit more near the end of the both these show's runs. Might be cause of the attractive and sassy female characters.
>>154655648A while ago the Japanese discovered Filmation MotU and were oddly fascinated by it
>>154658891*fascinated* can mean a lot of things and not always good
>>154658976Positively fascinating In a "Fantastic Planet" sort of wayhttps://x.com/kingink_/status/2061089045976162537

>>154656983its really not very good man. Its like the television equivalent of watching paint dry its just dull and boring. He-Man isnt barbaric or reallly strong or bold enough to carry his screen time. Adam isnt cartoonishly weak or heroic himself to make a interesting divide. Its just boring. Skeletor screentime is fun. It never lives up to the potential of the artwork and lore. Like that pic you attached is cool. It never feels like that. They reuse the same animation for everyone infinitely thats why its mostly boring because anything that could lead to interesting moments or creative visualls is flatlined by reused animation. Eternia feels liek a desolate wasteland not like a community lol
>>154655664The CG show was fantastic. I fucking hate that we didn't get that next season with Hordak.
>>154655648You know there's a new cartoons, right?https://youtu.be/5-WGvTL3ePY?si=lIOkbT4MIZOAC4nw
>>154660135I like seeing Eternia like one of those ancient worlds in a galaxy far away.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OM96UYgbJLkI don't know... I just think the show is pretty neat!
If you liked Xena Warrior Princess and Hercules The Legendary Journeys. I think you might be able to find some enjoyment out of the OG He-Man and Shera shows. Being it is made for kids as it's demographic but the voice acting, and aesthetics are the good kind of camp you can have on in the background. The matt paintings in the background are beautiful.
>>154656983>With the original show getting a full blu-ray releaseWhat? The original show got a blu-ray release? When did this happen?
>>154660176yea I guess the hand drawn/painted artwork is good.
>>154660195thats whats weird tho. She-Ra is better in terms of pacing and writing. Maybe because they were better after using He-Man as a test run idk.
>>154656983Honestly, I really liked the original show. It's a fun adventure of the week style. Very simple plot lines and characters. Some of which only really show up once or twice but it's still fun for the sort of time capsule it is. The show, hell even the little moral lessons at the end of episodes, was very endearing. But your mileage may vary. If you don't vibe with the style of older cartoons with these adventure of the week episodic things then you may not really click with it.
>>154655648aspect ratio is wrong, how can they fuck that up?
>>154660267I think the show might had been targeted at girls but had the advantage of targeting boys with a lot of hot women. I cannot remember what kind of toys SheRa had. I thought they might had been like He-Man. Teela and Evil Lynn could just be color swaps. SheRa looks like a knock off Barbie line.
I liked the new movie and hope for a SheRa movie.
>>154660357Sequel is reportedly in the works
>>154660341fs it was a magical period where they still depicted all characters as fully formed anatomically correct women. So it naturally makes them elegant and beautiful in terms of drawing. Nothing like the modern she-ra show that keeps the weird blob anatomy art style. I understand why they reuse animation its a shame that art style and skill is kinda lost today.
>>154660357I would love to see that. The best episodes of her show are when Heman crosses over too.
