Who’s your favourite /co/ character and why?Do you like the current state your character is in?
>>154657423He’s not my top top favorite, but phantom stranger deserves a shout out
Ya, still my inspiration and hero.I don't care much for his nu52 redesign, but he's still Superman.
>>154657423Pic related, it would take a long time to explain but tl;dr: he’s generally quite proactive, the way his magic works tickles my autism, and the guy has a huge amount great storiesI don’t like the state he’s in, I haven’t since the 90s really. I think I wrote four posts worth of complaining about it sometime back in January. He’s basically an entirely different character by this point and hacks won’t stop depowering him because of muh power levels or whatever. Somehow, he still has some pretty decent moments even in the modern era, but he’s nothing like he used to be and it makes me sad. Will always treasure that older stuff though.
Superman. I like my heroes big, blue and inspirational.>Do you like the current state your character is in?I'm actually out of the loop after KO but I was liking his current book prior to that. It won't go down as an all time great but it was perfectly readable.
Amazing Spider-Man doesn't have "The World's Greatest Superhero" tagline for nothing. There's something so inspirational to see a guy who constantly gets his ass kicked by supervillains and society alike refuse to ever give up and always do the right thing, no matter what. There's really no other character like him, though Superman isn't so bad either. I'd be lying if I said Peter isn't in a 20 year low-point, but I'm fine with his current run and always have optimism for the future. Current editorial won't be around forever and you can only keep a good idea down for so long.
>>154657423>Who’s your favourite /co/ character Hulk.>whyThe strongest one there is.>Do you like the current state your character is in?Yes.
Cassandra Cain. I like her because she's anime. As for current state it's FAR from ideal no thanks to Didio's decades-long hate campaign. At least she has a comic now, that's something.
>>154657423Clay Puppington .
Wally West. I like his development. I like his family. I liked his book for years. He was my Flash till they needed to bring Barry back.>Current stateEeeeh. I don't think much of his present book but given we're back on our feet after Kom Ting it could be worse.
>>154657423VenomAnd hell no, I hope after Queen in Black his shit gets fixed.
>>154657423kid coltjust a stand up guy without contrived bspretty relieved he isn't being used anymore, they would add 35 years of contrived bs in 3 issues and cancel it at issue 5.
>>154659938>The venom people care about hasn't been around in decades. That's rough. Flash Venom was kind of cool I guess but it wasn't the same.
>Shacked-up with a loser that made you destroy an entire town.>Work for the woman who destroyed your reputation in a closet office. >You don't really do superheroing anymore you just stuff your face with food and bitch about your non-problems.In a word. Grim.
>>154657423>Who’s your favourite /co/ character D O O M>and why?He mixes technology/sci-fi with magic, and that's a major plus for me. Then there's the core aesthetic, which just ticks off all my boxes. Sci-Fi Power-Armour, Masks, Capes, Gothic and Royal aesthetics, the whole thing. All together essentially makes him, to me, the most versatile comic book character right next to Batman. These two encapsulate superhero comic books IMHO.But if you move past the design and the surface-level appeal, you find a complex character who's, ultimately, a petulant and egomaniacal autist forever stuck in his ways. No matter how he tries to change or be noble, no matter the lies he tells the world or himself, at the end of the day he is a forever insecure bipolar autist who just keeps chasing cares. I like that he can be dramatic or comedic without ruining the character at his core. He feels like a genuine person when properly written.>Do you like the current state your character is in?No. Secondaries have flooded the market and they're pushing the>Doom is actually heckin good and valid and wants to help the world be Globohomo CentralAll the grandiosity and even humanity has been sapped away, only so that he could be turned into the average AmeriCommie's idea of a "Benevolent Dictator". No, Doom is a POS and that's the charm of the character.I'd like to make a Top ~10 Collage, but it'd derail the thread I feel.
Anyone who likes Superman is GAY
