Other things that try to mimick it just do the gore and death like that by itself like is enough to make someone feel something, I mean sure they might but they'll get numb at some point if the formula isn't shaken or stay the same or even double down like it was a Hgame catering to ryona and guro niches.It is all a matter of having balance and restraint when it's needed.

The plot of every PB episode is "character (with no personality btw) gets abducted and tortured to death in a torture dungeon". It's formulaic, predictable, and has zero variety. While every HTF episode has its own unique gimmick and framing device, and it's a comedy to accentuate the absurdity of the premise. PB has zero self-awareness and takes itself way too seriously, like it thinks it can actually disturb me by making little cartoon fuckers scream
