No, she is an annoying character that overstayed its welcome, with so much plot armor because they desperately want a lesbian quirk chungus Harley Quinn in Star Wars for some reason. The stories starring her are just boring and I don't get why they keep on publishing them, they are not fun to read at all and keep butchering already existing characters just to prop up some shitty OCs (usually a black lesbian or something similar). The only times she is sort of likeable is when she has some fun interaction with Luke, although more often than not the writers can't write him for shit.

It's pretty well agreed that the original theatrical cuts, which you can find restored online as the "despecialized editions" are the best. The alternative, which is the version that is streaming and is available on 99 percent of home releases, are the Special Editions, which add a bunch of effects and ADR that make the movies worse in certain ways.

Truthfully you aren't getting a radically different experience regardless of which version you watch. It's only worth searching out the Despecialized Editions if you think being a purist about it will improve your personal experience

Kinda funny that Moneky Scorsese just has a mudhorn egg and uses the yolk as sauce for his sandwichs, and they seem to be quite cheap too.
Maybe there are mudhorn farms in Shakari, the movie does establish that diffrent planets have different access to stuff, normal salt in Shakari is so rare they ration it.
I know this is more of a callback of sorts, but if they are going to have a mudhorn egg in the movie and have it be this somewhat mundane thing, they really should have Mando acknowledge how he almost died trying to get one of those to trade for part of a whole gunship.

That's what makes their love tragic, anon. Also, Jakku is sequel slop, but within the story it's just another battle. Could've been called anything. At the very least, the set up for the climax wouldn't work with something like the Endor battle.

What I liked about Lost Stars is it made the Imperial loyalists sympathetic without just making them blameless. Some of them were killed off before they became too corrupt, while the rest were repeatedly beaten down until they were hollowed out and suicidal or just completely broke mentally. It's very easy to just have your Imperial characters not involved with the bad shit conveniently and maintaining enough agency to not pull any war crimes. But Lost Stars makes them all have to philosophically and spiritually confront what is happening again and again. Ciena especially suffers because she believes loyalty matters, only for it to doom her soul and destroy everything she loves. She's hollowed out at the end because her best quality turned out to be the completely wrong choice.

She has to stay with the Empire for that kind of story to work. It's probably one of the best portrayals in all of Star Wars of the sheer moral evil of the entire Empire that's not just the personal corruption of Anakin and the super villain personality of the Emperor. And Thane loving her despite it is the classic Star Wars thing of forgiving monsters because of love and it actually mattering, spiritually, to the moral framework of the series. Also, crucially, the rest of the universe doesn't care about her moral suffering at all. It keeps things realistic in that way.
