Nancy went back to Redcorn but left him for good while Dale is just always going to be Dale. Boomhauer got into a relationship with a single mom but now seems to be moving into playing a real paternal role to her son. Minh is really the only character who comes off worse and it's less her status and more that whatever positive traits she possessed seem to have vanished, she's an absolutely rotten bitch now.

KOTH originally operated on Simpsons logic where no one ever ages despite having hundreds of episodes. By retconning Bobby and Connie's ages to them being 10 when they met that means that the events of the original KOTH now took place over 2-3 years which feels a bit more logical.
