These were medicore anyways but has some salvagable elements.The reason why this is bad is because everything is bad, the story is nonsensical, the art style is cal arts all over again but worse, some scenes are badly done that you can understand the overrall sequence. Why are the protagonists and the robot there? Why did the protagonist which is named boy (they even had the decency to not give a name to them, is just boy), de-aged all of sudden, the girl (same case here), is just there and that's it and there isn't any proper explaination of what the old man knew about the donut place at all.I can get on all the things on why this short is very, very bad, but it would take a while. And it is also a dissapointment tho, having seen the animatic screenshots i expected it would be your typical mediocre adventure that is at least coherent and grounded, they didn't achieved that in the end.Overall, glad that it wasn't approved at all.

There is almost no coherent connection between events happening, the events just happen. The bunnies attacking them after they eat pizza just happen because it can happen. There is no connection line where one event causes another event. He probably could have reached that girl without riding the robot. Them eating pizza had zero effect on why they got attacked and had to fight the bunnies. If the bunnies had never attacked them, the same events would have still played out where he gets shot down. It's just random events strung together. That's why this story feels so bad, this is barely a story! I actually feel somewhat annoyed, and I'm a very forgiving person when it comes to animation. The animation is pretty subpar already, but the story just makes this one of the worst among these cartoon shorts.
