In 2000 A.D. #1, there is a promo for Judge Dredd's introduction on #2 using art from #6… If they had the art for (saltem) 5 stories done why didn't the strip start on the 1st issue already?
>>154712591IIRC the art for the first Dredd story wasn't up to snuff, forcing it to be redrawn. Rather than run a different story, they pushed it back to debut in issue #2 instead, and just some of the better art from another story to promote the strip's debut as the first story had important lore details that required it running first.

>>154715918Judge Anderson stories are my favourite aside from Dredd. She usually gets horror mysteries mixed with police procedural for stories. Mostly written by Alan Grant who was the best.
