Previously, the Runaways had made their way to New York as the Kingpin wanted to have them get an object back for him. They instead ended up a century in the past in early 1900s New York with a message to "tell her." They got caught up in a war between different groups of powered individuals which included a past version of the Yorkes. Victor and a young powered girl named Lillie fell for one another and Victor attempted to bring her back to the present which she ultimately was chickened out on... much to the sadness of her current day self who'd always lived with the regret of never accepting Victor's offer to join him. >>154714334Yeah, I like Klara and when I re-read this I got the impression that Moore liked Klara a lot too. But it doesn't really matter. Rowell had no use for anything past volume 2 (or even volume 1) in her fanfic. Doing what she did with Klara irritated me and is a big reason I dropped that run so fast. Sure it's a "happy" ending but it wasn't done for the character's benefit, only so she could jettison anything that came about from Gert's death onward.
