APOLOGIZE

Marvel should apologize to me for kowtowing to cancel culture and making me watch this movie which no longer has any relevance in their overall plans.
>>
>>154714024
What's Kang's motivation in the MCU again?

Honestly? Wish we still had Kang as the main antagonist. I wanted to see what Immortus, Scarlet Centurion, and Rama-Tut could do.
>>154714054
To monopolize control over The Multiverse. Time is weird, and his greatest opposition was himself (He Who Remains, and Exile Kang).
>>
>>154714052
consequences aren't the same as cancel culture
>>
>>154714024
I feel so bad for how he got fucked over.
Kang in Loki had me hyped up and excited for the next phase... and then they used Ant-Man to turn him into a joke.
>>
>>154714024
Am I the only retard who was actually invested in his storyline? I thought Loki set him up well
>>
>>154714661
They are when you're trying to make an overarching series of movies and your planned main villain shits the bed. They should have just let him finish and then cart him off to jail.
>>
>>154714052
Should've just recast
>>
>>154714661
Its the same fucking thing when you freaks make getting cancelled part of the 'consequences'. What Majors did wasnt even bad. He got into a spat with his GF. He didnt Chris Brown her. Woke faggots like you are what killed the MCU
>>
>>154714052
Cancel culture is good when it's black people getting fired.
>>
>>154714740
They could have recasted him
>>
>>154714024
So what happened to Majors with the whole scandal around him?
>>
>>154715185
Assault in the Third Degree. It's a misdemeanor. The Mouse fucked up half a decade of MCU content by overreacting to a misdemeanor.
>>
>>154714149
>To monopolize control over The Multiverse. Time is weird, and his greatest opposition was himself (He Who Remains, and Exile Kang).
And why he wants that?
>>
>>154714694
Would not be surprised if his mid debut in Ant-Man was also a huge reason to just scrap the whole Kang character and start fresh, even if it means its too late.
>>
>>154714024
>APOLOGIZE
I'm sorry they thought this casting was a good idea. I'm sorry they thought going straight to the Council of Kangs nonsense was a good idea. I'm sorry they thought the Multiverse Saga was a good idea at all. I'm sorry they made so many movies I have no interest in seeing, and they should be sorry they put so much effort into ruining the characters I would've still paid to see.
>>

Last I heard it was 50 weeks of community service for giving a girl a laceration behind the headband breaking one of her fingers.
And no, that's easily jail time for anybody else that is not a celebrity.
>>154714941
Well he didn't eat jail so he could've continued filming.
>>
>>154714024
no, Marvel should apologize for thinking Kang was ever good enough to be the cross over villain. they only picked Kang because they could easily race swap him without a fuss, since Kang has so few fans.
>>
>>154714024
I never watched this movie or The Marvels, am i missing anything

I didnt watch either and no

>Why did they use the prominent Avengers villain for the Avengers movie
The casting and how they handled the character was the issue not the character itself
>>

Please understand, even here on /co/, "Marvel fandom" is full of casuals and NPCs whose knowledge starts and ends with characters who were in Spider-Man or X-Men cartoons and games in the 90s and 2000s, and when confronted with any other Marvel character, will react with hostility and act like that character can't possibly be important or any good, because he'd have been in those cartoons and games if he was.

Disney actually listening to the nerds and replacing Kang with Doom after Doom has had multiple previous chances with movie audiences and never caught on is a plan that deserves to blow up in their faces, but with the way they've gone about it, if it fails, people will get to argue that it was because Doom wasn't 'comic accurate', as if the average normie would know or care what 'comic accurate Doom' even is.

Immortus was in the X-Men cartoon.
>>
>>154716216
As Immortus he just got a brief cameo where he wasn't named, IIRC. You're expecting them to know who Immortus is from that cameo, AND to know that Immortus is a future version of Kang, all of which is information they'd have to read some Avengers comics to learn.

He was accused of fucking up his white blonde gfs hand when she tried to grab his phone when he got a text from another woman

They proceeded to exit the vehicle and ran about 7 manhattan blocks, with her chasing him (theres a goofy video of this)

Whether he dis it or not, they haphazardly reacted tot his and ruined the mcu, let's be honest this is not the correct way to introduce doom

The kicker is that majors met his gf as a hairdresser on the ant man 3 set

Ant man 3 canonically fjcked the mcu inside and out

It's the nexus event that fjcked up everything

It's fucking frustrating since unironically following up with Kang made total sense after Endgame touched on time travel and it's not like they didn't have countless blueprints on how to adapt him in a great way what with EMH or the most obvious example of Busiek's work on Avenger's Forever and Kang Dynasty which they poached the name for but probably weren't gonna tackle anything else from the story. It is frustratingly baffling how many people are trying to excuse this absolute fumble by saying on Reddit/4chan how oh he was always terrible in the comics when they've probably read nothing with him and no fuck you, Kang Is genuinely a great villain and a very enjoyable character but I'm gonna have to deal with people shitting on him cause of a botched adaption for more years now since the film came out. Unironically just waiting for Kang to be in Rivals or Tokon so he can have a recent adaption that's actually good now since at least X-Men 97 gave him some good casting and a fun brief appearance that actually got his character across correctly despite a fraction of the screentime. The even more annoying thing is how it feels like I can not even talk about Kang without Doctor Doom just being shoved into the topic obnoxiously like the last Kang thread that happened.

>The even more annoying thing is how it feels like I can not even talk about Kang without Doctor Doom just being shoved into the topic obnoxiously like the last Kang thread that happened.
There's sadly many such cases where it's just impossible to talk about a character without the thread getting derailed by people bringing up a more popular character who had some sort of rivalry with them, even though that more popular character constantly gets their own threads all the time anyway.

>It's the nexus event that fjcked up everything
The MCU had been in trouble for a year before that though. Despite the autists insisting the whole world checked out after Endgame because it had "end" in the name, people were actually hyped about new MCU movies and the early shows on Disney+, and Eternals getting bad reviews and the hardcore fans not all blindly loving it seemed to just be a blip they could ride out, but MoM and Love & Thunder ended up being two movies in a row that had big opening weekends from fans being hyped, then cratered because audiences didn't like them.
>>
>>154716438
It's even more annoying cause the most basic bitch or as I prefer it wrong statement is calling Kang a knockoff/inferior/temu version of Dr Doom as if they haven't got vastly different standards, goals and plotlines despite some overlap that the characters themselves in universe have mentioned to each other but also have in turn discussed there major differences. Like people want to prop up Dr Doom against Kang but I can at least respect the fact that Nathaniel Richards is a more fallible character cause the writers aren't trying to wank him to high hell or scrub away every loss he has and that Kang feels more human cause he's mostly a bored asshole that has lost anything that can actually give him genuine enjoyment in favour of just playing William the conqueror against the Avengers. Like so many major Marvel villain get their worst acts swept under the rugs or played up as they are morally complicated but I enjoy that no matter what, Kang Is a vicious bastard that despite some humanizing is a guiltless murderer and tyrant without shame of his actions despite delusions of honour and history so defined by it to the point he hates his future counterpart and his younger counterpart not having the stomach for it.
>>
I think it's pretty funny that they had two characters with two big bads that are related to Richards, yet there's no Richards in the MCU main universe lol

no one wants to admit the the FF are the core of Marvel
it's the same reason why all Batman exclusive universes die early deaths, their story needs the shadow of Superman to anchor it the way Pluto needs the Sun.
>>
>>154714024
The post credits Council of Kangs was so ridiculous I often wonder if by the time the movie was releasing, they had already decided to move away from Kang, and included a scene that lacked any real threat because of how goofy it looked, so audiences would come to the opinion that he was a lame villain.
>>
>>154716373
I feel the same way. Kang and the Avengers fighting against Immortus' hordes in Avengers Forever is maybe my favorite capeshit moment ever.
>>
>>154714024
No, he was a bad choice to play every single version of Kang.

He was the first super villain I ever encountered the day I first read comics. Marvel could have recast him but decided to chuck everything for Doom for no reason. This decision will be remembered for decades as a major misstep. Kang was done dirty.
>>
>>154715263
Why did Ricks in Rick and Morty want it? There's an infinite number of Kangs that interacted with each other, discovering the wonders of the multiverse before anyone else, making each of their technologies better, and then decided after warring with themselves that order/control was the better option. If they didn't lock down the multiverse as gods, then everyone else who inevitably create the same tech would threaten all of existence

Fuck Kang, fuck his fans, and most of all, FUCK MAJORS.
>>
>>154718320
I say this so often but he's literally perfect for a hero shooter, he's already mostly utilising sci-fi blasters and BFG's, just use his suit's energy arsenal either offensively or defensively in his kit plus throw some time manipulation and he'd be super fun. Hell you could give him a special where he pulls a weapon from a portal and it's completely randomised what it will be.
>>
>>154718309
Bold of you to assume the poster has actually picked up a comic book or even watched any Marvel cartoon

quantumania is a dumb name for a movie.

And making Kang black when there is a fucking KANGZ internet meme is completely tone deaf.

I'm surprised no storyline of the character has been called Kang Quest yet
