>be me (circa 2016)>hear that the first two r&m seasons are pretty good>watch all the episodes>have to wait months for season 3>wait a couple more months just for the rest of the season 3 to air more episodes>wait an even longer amount of time for season 4 to premiere>only the first half aired consistently>the other half aired 4.5 months laterIf wasn't the quality drop-off that kept me away from this show, it's most certainly the way it was aired. I've heard seasons 5-onward have regular schedules now, but I'm not going to get burned a second time.
>>154717920>If wasn't*If it wasn'tHoly shit, I'm a mess...
>>154717920I was there. I remember that.seasons 5 and 6 are actually quite good, and were building to something. the show would have probably hit a finale with 7 or 8, if yknow, everything hadn't gone to shit>>154717965it happens
>>154718805>seasons 5 and 6 are actually quite goodThen that settles it! I'll have to give R&M a refresher, because those hiatus years fucked me up big time.
>>154717920I've been pretty fortunate with most shows, but I did get into StuGo after accidentally watching an episode in a hotel and thinking it was hilarious, only for the series to end after two more episodes.
>>154718913>only for the series to end after two more episodes.Jeez, that must be horrible getting into a show late only for it to end. I recall a similar experience where I got to watch a show live and die in real time. I'm never going to experience anything like that ever again. (Mainly because cable was on its way out in the next couple years.)
>>154717920usually I get into shows when they’re over
>>154717965GET IT THE FUCK TOGETHER
>>154717920>I've heard seasons 5-onward have regular schedules now, but I'm not going to get burned a second time. Lol you won't. Once Rick and Morty was confirmed for 70 episodes in advance, they were eventually able to get into a groove that delivers a new 10-episode season pretty much every year. And with Roiland out the door, you can expect it to be an even tighter-run ship moving forward.
>>154722446>And with Roiland out the door, you can expect it to be an even tighter-run ship moving forward.Huh, guess something good came out of being just the Harmon show after all...
Oh yeah, getting into Invincible (the show) was also a bad time for me. I know it's well past its second season now, but its mid-season hiatus fucking mindbroke me...
