Well for starters, how about actually using them? I thought they were fine in Forge's X-force but then they decided to cut that book over the other weaker ones. I guess one thing that comes to mind is having Betsy give back the medallion to Brian who hands her the sword, then let her rebrand herself while still being involved in magic/multiverse stuff that Rachel can help with.

Anything interesting that might have been done with them, like a "whoa, it's a pretty big deal we're in a gay relationship now," the reactions of the team and their friends to this news, or someone pointing out "hey uh Betsy banged your brothers and tried to bang your dad," was replaced with saccharine-sweetness. Instead they immediately were the perfect, lovey-dovey couple with no doubts or really any real conflicts. (Betsy's on panel once being uncomfortable with her body and once it's implied Rachel might be jealous about Saturynne and is holding back from using her powers to read Betsy's mind, but we forget about these things immediately.)The only interesting thing I could think of would be putting them on a team with Kitty Pryde, where Kitty and Rachel now have to tackle that they're out and proud "bisexuals" (lesbians really at this point), and look back on their "friendship" and what it could mean for their romantic future, while Betsy is jealous and erratic because of it. Maybe throw Kwannon in the book for additional discomfort.But, even with that being interesting, I don't want Kitty to be a lesbian and I know the instant they pair her with either Rachel or Illyana, her romantic future is permanently cooked. And ultimately that's still suggesting they break up Rachel and Betsy.
