I find it interesting how the original series started Finn's relationship status kinda with HW straight up saying "we're too cool for love actually", but as the series was about to end they kinda backpedaled on that a bit, but not enough to have them be in a proper relationship.
But then in Fionna and Cake they're implying that they're multiversal lovers and their previous free-spirited thoughts about love was actually a flaw that they both had to grow out of.
This isn't an analysis or anything, just observation.

Hybrids but the traits from one parent will be more apparent on one of them compared to the other. Jay may inherit Finn’s hair and skin but still have HW’s horns while Bonnie could have HW’s skin and hair, but no horns and has Finn’s eyes. It just depends on how dominant the genes are.

Maybe it's because finn was sidelined because the writers all became woke freaks who hated teh mc and focused too much on turning every girl into either a lesbian couple or a girlboss and only til the last hour did they dig at the bottom of the barrel of characters for something vaguely resembling a woman, changed her entire personality and voice and convert her into finns gf.
But never so much coverage was given to them as they gave to pb and marcy, who not only got the lions share of representation, but their fucking gender bent versions had more time dedicated to their relationships than finn and huntress.

So sure, finn got himself a girl, one that is basically hidden from viewers while 90% of the time is spent on gays. Even the series dedicated to finn and huntress spent more fucking time on the yaoi couple by 10x over any scene with finn and HW.

We have no idea how old HW is and probably never will but I can’t imagine the show runners would make her too much older than Finn. In Flute Spell she struck me more as an older teen/young adult, around 17-20, who was trying to sound deeper than she actually was, a bit of a poser even.

Finished the first three episodes. Knowing FP once did love Finn was rather bittersweet, I really shipped those two back when I what was a wee baby dumbass. Having Finn being kissed by every princess in Ooo was funny. Surprised PB never tried it. Hearing all those swears was new, and odd. I like that for the most part, the citizens of Ooo seemingly don't swear. Huntress going on this fantastic journey is rather nice too, and I wonder how it will end. I hope it's good.
