>>154771822Her advantage is being unique enough design to visually interesting and a vague/malleable background that she could easily be slotted anywhere and imprinted on by a wide variety of people.Giving Peni a protagonist role would force her to be more fleshed out which would narrow her appeal no matter what direction she went in. She'll always function better as a side character allowing fans/gooners/creeps/weirdos/who ever to fill in the gaps with their own imagination.

Marvel's constant MCU synergy have never helped sell comics. If anything their attempts have ruined things.
