Jeph Loeb wrote many good comics in the 1990s.This was written in the 2000s.
>>154774459You have my attention. Always interested in new comics for the weekend.

>>154774459Fuck yes a REAL bad newcomer
>>154774634What every Hulk/Wolverine fight should turn into. I'll never understand why Wolverine is supposed to be one of Hulk's rivals beyond the whole healing factor thing
>>154774656iirc Hulk was severely nerfed in the 70s compared to what he's capable of nowadays
>>154774665Fair but I've read some a decent chunk of pre PAD Hulk and he still far outclasses Logan. Granted I'm biased because The Thing was always the best Hulk rival both physically and thematically
It's not even that bad, huh? And I say this as someone who genuinely hates Loeb for his racism toward Asian people. If you wanted to share something truly awful by Loeb, you should have storytimed The Ultimates 3 and Ultimatum.
>>154774775I mean, it's Loeb taking a dump on continuity in several stupid ways. I don't know what to tell you
>>154774824>I mean, it's Loeb taking a dump on continuity in several stupid ways.Disregarding continuity doesn't necessarily make a comic bad. Continuity has many silly moments and should never be treated as untouchable. Morrison shat on continuity all the time, and people loved most of his comics. This Loeb's comic, at least what you've posted so far, is just mediocre, not terrible.
>>154774824He kept Silver Fox, and even past stories like the times Sabretooth was on the X-Men. So far this hasn’t taken anything away from previous stories, and I don’t hate it.
>>154774966Larry Hama brought Silver Fox years after her death. Also, I don't know how many times I can say "Logan and every other vaguely feral mutant are part of some super-special evolutionary line that's also a big super-secret conspiracy"
>>154774634Would this make Wolverine's skeleton regrow normally?
>>154774999But Larry Hama’s story retconned the original Silver Fox story by saying that it was a false memory implant and she was really a member of Team X. And years of comics were written with the idea that Logan and Victor were related, it being familial fizzled out, so why not this? Are Lupines really that far out compared to anything else in the X-Men?
>>154775218Yes.Yes, they are.
Well, that was a refreshing change from the norm, but perhaps we need to go back to the well...
Wheel of Classic SoP, turn turn turn!Give us some shit, because /co/ must burn!
>>154775260
>>154775241I don’t see how. The Savage Land has always been part of X-Men history. Magik was raised by an interdimensional demon who taught her magic. Cable has a paradoxical technological alien virus. Saying 6 or so mutants with related powers are a distinct evolutionary branch isn’t SoP material to me.
>>154775290>retconning every animalistic mutant as being part of a completely separate evolutionary line with its own secret society and vague prophecy that justifies Wolverine and Sabertooth hating each other isn't the dumbest shit because I say soGo to bed Jeph, you're drunk
>>154775226Logan's kind of retarded for not immediately doing this
>>154775290The fact that this story is an incoherent mess doesn't really help
>>154774997Woolfsbaine, what the fuck is that shirt
