Last time, yet another batch of new recruits showed up at Camp Hammond, among them was Emery Schwab whow as quickly dubbed Butterball by Taskmaster. He was fat, unathletic, not strong but also completely invulnerable to seemingly everything. After the new recruits snuck out and he (kind of) saved the day from a villain attack, he was washed out but not before Taskmaster and Constrictor did him a solid making it look like he beat them.3-D Man arrived in Hawaii as the new leader of the Point Men but his glasses revealed that team member Magnitude was a Skrull. Defeating him, Delroy realized that the Skrulls had infiltrated the Initiative and returned to Camp Hammond to warn everyone but Crusader, realizing that Pym was a Skrull and not wanting to be found out, used the Freedom Ring to accidentally convince 3-D Man that everyone else was a Skrull. Delroy took a Quinjet to New Mexico hoping to find the original 3-D Man but crashed, being saved by the remains of the Skrull Kill Krew and joined up with them to hunt down any Skrulls they could find and gather allies. Crusader joined with the rest of the heroes in Times Square, siding with Earth over the Skrulls despite being a Skrull himself, while Ant-Man realized to his horror that Camp Hammond had become the Skrulls' main base and he was stuck there with them.Today is Avengers: The Initiative #17-19 and Special #1.Previous >>154763383
I do appreciate the odd assortment of D-listers driving this arc. You have 3-D Man, the Skrull Kill Krew, Eric O'Grady, Jocasta, Crusader and Devil-Slayer all playing major roles.

Earth Force are a group of obscure characters from DeFalco's Thor run.
Pretty sure that Spinner was supposed to die here but she later shows up during a crowd shot in Youth In Revolt. Then again, she only shows up that one time and nowhere else so I assume it she was drawn in by mistake.
And the infamous ending.
Despite that, the actual last page here seems pretty blatant as a loophole to bring back Crusader if anyone wanted to. But I guess either nobody has or they liked the tragedy of his story too much to undo it.
