Which superhero has the best rogue's gallery?

Which has the worst?
>>
>>154797860
I don't care for rogues galleries.
>>
>>154797860
It's Batman. I know it's a tired answer, but he really does have a very good rogues' gallery.
>>
Flash has both the best and the worst. At its best, there's characters like Professor Zoom (The Reverse Flash) and others that can challenge Flash despite how OP he's become.
At its worst, it's a bunch of painfully silly Silver Age dweebs wasting everyone's time.
>>
Nightwing easily has the worst.

Green Arrow, Iron Man, and Wonder Woman’s rogue galleries have multiple villains who do the bare minimum of following/mirroring their themes and/or lore.

The overwhelming majority of Nightwing villains do not do that and Dixon fucked up making most of the ones he used frequently be assassins/mercs so now Dick has a ton of superfluous shitty villains who just kill people for boring reasons.
>>
>>154797860
For Marvel: Spider-man
For DC: Batman
>>
>>154797860
Not including heroes/teams with limited amount of runs in the worst categories because that wouldn't be fair, but will be adding the teams with the best and worst rogue galleries though.

Best DC hero: Batman duh
Best Marvel hero: Captain America
Best DC team: JSA or Doom Patrol
Best Marvel team: Fantastic Four

Worst DC hero: Nightwing or Green Arrow
Worst marvel hero: Iron Man or Carol
Worst DC team: Titans or Birds of Prey
Worst marvel team: desu all of their big teams have decent rogue galleries but I guess GOTG just by the virtue of a lot of their good villains belonging to other rogue galleries or becoming general marvel villains
>>
>>154799236
Mirror theming is a bad meme in villain design, it's the laziest writing trope you could use. And worst is that despite being so common most writers are so bad at it that they fail to make meaningful parallels.

Also Dick has something like a half dozen villains who mirror him and they all suck.
>>
>>154799236
Venom has to be at least as bad. It's Knull shit, Venom's own offspring symbiotes, or Jack O'Lantern being his dollar store Goblin.

Is Nightwing's rogues gallery really that bad?
>Blockbuster
>Deathstroke
>Two-Face

>Shrike
>Lady Vic
>Brutale
>Electrocutioner
>Tarantula
>Defacer

>Double Dare
>Crazy Quilt
>Professor Pyg
>Tiger Shark
>Orca
>Heartless
>Mr. Minos
>The Judge
>Gargoyle
>Zanni
>Colombina

Nightwing's problems have come from DC's constant resets, most writers dropping everything the previous writer had going on, and DC constantly fucking his shit up to service whatever's going on in Batman.

I'd definitely put Nightwing's rogues over Green Arrow. At least here they try to create new villains. Most GA runs are happy to yoink whatever villain is trending (see Winick and Williamson and the Arrow show as the biggest offenders)
>>
>>154797860
Batman and Spider-Man have the best. The Flash has the worst.

At least Wonder Woman's foes have a habit of becoming Justice League villains or Legion of Doom fodder. I can't think of any villain beyond Meryln, Vertigo, or Prometheus ever even amounting to glorified Legion members.

I think it's amusing how half of Moon Girl's rogues gallery was kids of other Marvel villains.

Princess Fisk was Kingpin's adopted daughter.
Bad Dream was a human Nightmare abducted as an infant.
Girl Moon was Ego's daughter formed as the result of a meteor hitting him.

I just think it's funny how far they kept pushing it.
>>
I think the Legion of Super Heroes has some decent villains.
>>
>>154800576
All I remember of Princess Fisk is that some guys here really tried to turn her into a flavor of the month.

The idea of Fisk having a spoiled daughter is genius though.

>>
Wonder Woman's is underrated. I wish they'd use them outside her books more and stop making them job when used outside her books.
>>
>>154801363
My Adventures with Wonder Woman felt like such a natural next step that it's almost insulting they keep using her rogues in MAWS.
>>
>>154800301
I'd argue that the good villains don't do it or the mirror elements are later additions after the villain has already solidified themselves.

>>154800369
Duke of Oil is an Outsiders villain.

>>154801071
I'd argue that most of Nightwing's villains only need slight changes to be massively improved.
>>
>>154797860
>Marvel
>Best
Honestly can’t decide, Marvel’s great at rogues. Spidey is the obvious pick, but I want to say the Fantastic Four. I don’t think they have a single miss in there, just villains that contributed less to them and the universe compared to others. Dr. Strange’s rogues are also highly underrated, but everyone just keeps spamming Mordo/Dormammu/maybe sometimes Nightmare so nobody knows most of it.
Can I just say all three? Spidey, F4, Dr. Strange?

>Worst
Captain Marvel, probably. Can’t name a single one. Hulk at least has the Leader and Abomination, Tony has a bunch of corporate heads, Thor has Loki and Enchantress and a few dozen other god-things. Captain Marvel has… the Skrulls? Who’re primarily the F4’s. And maybe her rape child, for one issue.

>DC
>Best
Batman, duh. If Constantine counts, I guess he can get a biscuit too. But… it’s Batman.

>Worst
Anyone who isn’t Batman.
I’m only half-joking. Wonder Woman sucks (even her well-known rogues aren’t entertaining), Green Arrow sucks (his only decent rogue was taken away from him and the rest blow), Nightwing obviously sucks but he’s cheating because he’s a legacy character that’s mostly used for fujobait nowadays.

>>
>>154797860
Flash has the best rogues

Everyone else can fuck right off. Flash is best.
>>
>>154799872
They keep making them since the evil twin villain tends to be the most poplar one. Everyone loves Sinestro, Venom, Reverse Flash, and Black Adam. It only inspired writers to keep making evil armored guys for Iron Man, evil ninjas for Batman, evil Kryptonians for Superman, and evil gamma guys for Hulk.
>>
>>154801785
Would Marvel really count when he and Carol stopped being much of a thing in the early 80s? Most of them were rogue Kree scientists or people with similar abilities. They also really tried making Scorpion a Carol rival for a while.
>>
>>154802778
Given that they’ve been trying to push her for almost a decade and a half straight as the best thing ever, YES.
>>
>>154802407
No one gave a shit about Sinestro until Johns, and Johns turned him into a mirror of the Guardians rather than Hal. Venom stopped being a mirror to Spider-Man when he proved popular. Professor Zoom isn't actually an evil mirror villain except in appearance. Black Adam was a second stringer for most of Billy's history, and again is only mirrors powerset and costume.

No one has villains now though. Especially in Marvel. All Marvel books are weird annoying dramas with maybe 1-2 pages of seeing them do their hero thing in a costume against a villain, but it's an aside and not a part of the real story. You never see them actually fight the villain either. It's always the hero charges at the villain then next panel they are at home watching something.
>>
Ant-Man, all of them.

Most notable are Ultron, Egghead and Daren Cross. Ultron is great but he's such a big deal and popular enough that he won't ever be used as only a solo Ant-Man villain, he's effectively an Avengers villain. Egghead is Hank Pym's real archnemesis but Elihas Starr has had as much success in being a villain as Pym had as solo hero. Daren is mostly there because of movie synergy.
>>
>>154801071

DC Justice League Rogue's Ranking:
1. Batman - lots of classic villains across all media, even though movies are busy butchering themw
>power gap
2. Superman - Lex Luthor and Brainiac do all the heavy lifting, far FAR too many "Evil versions of me", lots of oddball shit
3. Wonder Woman - fetish fuel across the board, as is appropriate, but at least she doesn't spend all day fighting "Wonder Woman but Evil".
4. Flash - Way too many goofballs and "Flash but Evil", points for Gorillas.
5. Green Lanterns (various) - mostly Evil Lanterns, plus randumb stupidly written aliens, really just a stunning lack of imagination with the entire universe to stomp around in.
6. Aquaman - one obsessed, underpowered Rogue, his brother, and endless, endless 5th string crapola
7. Martian Manhunter - Other Martians, then mobsters. Forgettable.
8. Hawkman - no one even cares, I had to look them up, they had to make Shazamwow!'s chief nemesis an important part of it.
>>
>>154804511
So how many Batman but evil and Hawkman but evil are there?
>>
>>154804511
I always dismiss lists like these because the biases are so obvious.
Just say you don't care dude, I can tell.
>>
>>154804511
>8. Hawkman
Bitch fuck you, bet you don't even know about Hath-Set.
And of course, next you'll probably downplay Shadow Thief, Fadeaway Man or the Gentleman Ghost.
>>
The heroes with the worst Rogues Gallery are those that can barely qualify as a Rogues Gallery.
A Rogues Gallery can only really exist if the villains are memorable enough, otherwise they just fade into the background.
>>
Also saying a hero's Rogues Gallery sucks just because you haven't read their books of course isn't a good way to judge them.
But I guess one can't expect everyone to have read everything about every hero and every villain they've fought, which is how these uninformed opinions happen.
>>
>>154804511
Based anon telling it how it is. Flash rogues were always jerked off so hard around here, but they're goofball gadgeteers. The only time I found them interesting in recent memory is when Captain Cold was planning on robbing Lex Corp, but that heist never happened.

The sad thing about Hawkman villains is that they are all cooler than him.

>Bith, shapeshifting alien drug dealing ex-cop that goes to planets, gets people hooked then assassinates anyone that gets in the way
>Fadeaway Man, functionally a wizard villain with a collection of magic things stolen from museums
>Matter Master, classic Molecule Man but smaller scale and way more powerful than any Hawks
>Lion Mane, 8 foot tall magic lion man from another dimension, or a were-lion that heals from anything done to him and can fuck up pretty much anything
>Shadow Thief, century old elemental that is another case of very powerful guy just stealing things instead of ruling a place
>>
>>154797860
Best: Flash
Worst: Batman
>>
>>154805232

>>
>>154804343

Flash. At least has the most variety.
From Talking Psychic Gorrilas to Speedsters to various gadget based crooks. And say what you will about the last group... at least they adapt and fucking go for it in a city where it's protector can defeat them before they even think.

However Batman has all these bad guys who are just variations of the things that make him... him. So Mr. Freeze is his dedication. Man Bat is his obssession with bats. Hush is if he killed his parents. Joker and Harley are him and Robin. But that gets old.

Spider-Man is interesting but only ehen it comes to animal-based foes. I will die on that hill. Who guves a FUCK about Boomerang?

On paper Wondy has a decent rogue gallery but writers never did much with them (and modern writers really aren't good doing shorter plot heavy villain stories)
>>
How good is batman's rogue gallery really without the all time number one punching it up? Two face is a great follow up but after him I feel like the roster falls off. certainly up there but I'm not sure if I'd call it untouchable. most of them are either solid but not particularly iconic B/C listers or the likes of penguin and poison ivy, famous but dated goofs.

Batman has been around long enough, and in enough different forms of media, that you can cherrypick a lot of decent ones out of the group. He just happens to have lots and lots of villains that there are a number of good ones.

But also the fact that he keeps getting tv and movie adaptations, there were loads of chances at making some of the shit ones into something interesting after a while.

Batman's definitely a case where if you asked the people glazing his rogues gallery what the best villain stories are most of them are going to say the same dozen classic stories that everyone reads and nothing else.
>>

>>
>>154797860
Am I stupid or is that meant to be another Superman villain in the back? Like the Eradicator or Cyborg Superman?
>>
>>154807801
I think that would be the case for most villains. Popular stories get read more because people recommend them and they get reprinted.
>>
>>154807779
I'd argue that Aquaman only having 2 villains that people can name is why he has the worst one actually.
Whenever people talk about Wonder Woman's villains, people usually know Cheetah, Giganta, Dr. Psycho and maybe a few others like Circe, Ares, Dr. Poison, Blue Snowman, etc.
But most people genuinely don't know of Aquaman's villains besides Black Manta and Ocean Master, they're not even relevant for people to make fun of them.
>>
>>154807781
>>154807827
Beyond Sivana, Adam, and Mr. Mind, no one cares about other Shazam villains.

Any hero that has Black Manta can't have the worst Rogues Gallery. Like the rest could be the literal worst villains in history and Black Manta would still raise the average above some other heroes.
That's how good Black Manta is.

also the fact that comics aren't nearly as prolific as people tend to assume they are. villains don't have endless material, a villain storyline was like a once in a blue moon event that got dolled out over the course of months to a year or longer.

Someone really should make them cannon as Penguin's hired hep.
>>
>>154808430
Right now, the best way to defined that is whoever normies know about for reasons that aren't live action movies.

DC's trinity are always A list. Marvel is usually Spiderman, Wolverine, and Hulk. Sometimes you can make an argument for someone like Captain America, but I think more often than not, he's someone they know of, but don't know anything about.

>>
>>154799236
Well no wonder his suck so bad, Dick barely even has any themes or lore outside of growing up and being from a circus. And Zanni and Raptor are the only ones who have done the circus theme well.

Out of the others you gave, Diana has feminism, truth, and greek myth shit, Ollie has the whole Robin Hood aspect, and Tony has industrialism, and they have tons of villains that take those and run with them to the point where a lot of them are superfluous (like Diana having like 5 villains that are lies deception to her truth).

Ultron might be the biggest case of a villain overshadowing its hero, Marvel would adapt Ultron in a heartbeat even if there was no Hank Pym around, they have done it multiple times already. In a way it's also cheating because Ultron was created in the Avengers comic to be a villain for the team, just one that holds a personal connection with one of its members, it also happens that specific member is not the most popular one.
>>
So Jean Grey is Dark Phoenix in this? Good luck doing this for the fourth time. (because I count Multiverse of Madness)
>>
>>154797860
I think Captain America has a pretty great Rogues gallery, worst is tough to say since every hero has at least 5 or 6 villains that I'm quite partial to and are memorable but I would say maybe Kamala Khan/Ms Marvel but give her credit that unlike a lot of recent legacy characters or mantle leeches she actually tried to have one.
>>
Superman: 4
Batman: 2
Wonder Woman: 2
Flash: 2
Green Lantern: 2 (I'll have to count Grundy as a GL villain)
Aquaman: 1

that bum Toyman should have been replaced
>>
>>154809320
Ultron fundamentally doesn't work without Hank Pym though, everything that makes him a great villain is because of that relation. It's why the MCU version of the character lacks so much of what makes him compelling or threatening besides the way they fucked up his design.
>>
>>154809206
>Diana having like 5 villains that are lies deception to her truth
don't count story specific villains, only recurring villains matter
in that case only Duke of Deception really counts, maybe Dr. Psycho but he fulfills another role (misogynistic control)
villains who just masquerade as something else don't really count either because it's not their whole thing
>>
>>154797860
>Best

Literally anyone that’s not Batman, Spider-Man, Superman, or Flash
>>
>>154797860
I hate how everyone is qualifying worst as whether they know them or not rather than how annoying they are and the answer to that is the X-Men.
>>
>>154809405
The problem is that Marvel doesn't care, they see Ultron as the coolest evil robot they own and they will exploit that, hence Ultron being in stuff like the MCU even if Hank Pym has nothing to do with him, or appearing in games. For Marvel he fills the niche of being a big deal bad guy.
>>
>>154809206
You don't need deep themes or lore, it's why Batman fights a clown. As far as Diana goes, she originally had two major underpinnings that go unnoticed in modern times. The first is that she's purely pulp adventure rather than specifically mythology, magic, or war; Hellboy is the closest modern counterpart to her Golden Age concept. The second is that her villains were largely driven by maladaptive emotional and psychological issues.
>>
>>154808529
Is Iron Man A-list now?
>>
>>154809661
The question is how long will it take for him to go back to Z-lister without the MCU?
>>
>>154809635
They’ve been treating Joker as chaos to Batman’s order for decades now
>>
Why does no one bring up X-Men's rogue gallery? Are the X-Men not a superhero team? I see a lot of Fantastic Four here. Like seriously, other than Dr. Doom and Galactus, their "rogue's gallery," if you even call it that, fucking SUCKS.
>>
>>154809689
Which means fuck-all in terms of thematic parallels or lore. Every criminal is chaos to Batman's order. Batman himself is usually presented as a chaotic element against corrupt systems. Given that Gotham is and always will be a crime-filled shithole the Joker is emblematic of the social order, not Batman.

The actual thematic antithesis to Batman is pre-Crisis Killer Moth.
>>
>>154809713
X-Men's rogues gallery has been massively mishandled over the past 25 or so years to the point it's heavily diminished from its 90s peak. That being said, Arcade is the most underrated X-Men villain.
>>
>>154809683
Never. Even at his worst his status was "one of those Marvel superheroes who aren't Spider-Man, the X-Men, or Hulk", which even under a very strict tiering would be a C. Z should be reserved for characters with less notability than Blue Shield.

Batman has a mental illness theme to which Joker falls under. And yes, Batman is affected by said theme. He's had tons of stories over the last 3 decades that spell out that he's a very mentally ill man despite being put together most of the time.

You're just coping over most major rogue galleries having at least one or two themes that relate to the hero that a great deal of their villains fall under, because you're a Dickfag who can't handle people saying his current villains are shit and due to having a lack of lore and overarching theme will STAY shit.

It's not Spidey because Spidey cannot beat the ones who become so popular they become protagonists of their own stories

>>
>>154797860
Flash's is overrated. It's a decent one, but people claiming he's on par with Batman are insane.
You get past Eobard, Zolomon, and Grodd, and you're left with Johns' self insert and his bitches and said bitches haven't been apart of any good stories outside of being campy in the silver and bronze age and everything Johns did with them. And then other than them it's nothing but superfluous speedsters and literally whos who job so the aforementioned characters can hog all the spotlight.

DICKHEADS OF /CO/
If you had 4-10 spots for a concrete/central rogue gallery for Dick, who would you pick and why?

I put 10 as the max bc most decent rogue galleries usually don't rotate more than a handful of villains and in some of the bigger rogue galleries once you get into the double digits you start to see copycat versions of a character/theme that already exists (eg Riddler/Cluemaster, Penguin/every other mob boss or kingpin created since the 80s/90s).

Want to pull from various runs over the years that can fill different niches + tweak some of them.

>Blockbuster
For generic crime lord needs
>Lady Vic
For generic merc/enforcer needs. She has some parallels with Dick already so just make it obvious and keep her strictly professional.
>Double Dare
Kinda cheating but they are essentially just one person. Make them a nonthreatening comedic duo of low level thieves. Think a couple of female James Jesses from before Johns tried making him edgy. And give them sexier outfits because the high rise underwear are ugly as fuck.
>Dorian Chase
The arc was boring as fuck but Wolfman cooked with bringing back Adrian and Dick's bullshit from NTT, and Dorian can be his Black Manta/Eobard based off what happened there.
>Paragon & Republic of Tomorrow
I mainly liked his appearance and weapons since he doesn't have anything going on personality wise + his arc was mid as fuck. But he can hold a grunge against him for putting him in prison and try to take over Bludhaven. Make Republic of Tomorrow just a villain group with named members that he's the face/leader of instead of some random villain training organization that doesn't do anything.
>Frau/Elizabeth Netz
I know everybody picks Mr Minos as the token Grayson villain but I think she has more potential as a mad scientist type that Dick simply doesn't have yet. Also nobody read Leviathan Dawn.
>Raptor
I just think he's neat
>The Judge
I think he would add more to Bludhaven's lore
>Zanni & Columbina
Kinda of cheating but the latter really only works well with the former. Former for a more higher level power villain and is conceptually relevant to Dick + latter is conceptually interesting parallel to Dick who provides a challenge as Olivia and Colombina. They're both more horror-esque and trippy compared to everybody else so at least they'd be unique.
>>
>>154809713
You can't say the Fantastic Four have a bad rogues gallery when it has Annihilus, Psycho-man, Super Skrull or Red Ghost and his Super Apes. Hell some of their villains are front runners in other heroes rogues galleries like with Klaw, Attuma or Maximus the Mad. Also people don't bring up the X-Men villains cause they are just dull and sandbagged by how X-Men stories have been the weakest part of the Marvel setting for 30 years.
>>
>>154809554
It's a shame cause Ultron IS the coolest evil robot they own but what makes him cool is directly tied to his characterisation and origin/narrative history which fundamentally is tied to Hank Pym and I'm not even just saying this cause Hank's one of my fave Marvel characters.
>>
>>154812080

>>154810996
Pretty much none of the pre-rebirth NW villains are worth bringing back. Dixon era villains are absolute nothingburgers and all the post Dixon NW villains are completely unmemorable. Hell I don't even remember Tomasi's villains other than Two-Face and Ra's/Talia or what Wolfman did other than the statutory rapist. Raptor and Judge are the most interesting villains he has as villains and as actual characters who could stand by themselves, but nobody but their creators would ever bring them back. Zanni is visually interesting but is a little too high concept for most comic writers.

Spider-mans rouges gallery serves him well, but other than Doc Ock, Venom, Goblin and arguably Kraven, I don't think his rogues are actually all that compelling. Batman just has too many S-tier villains to not be number 1. He's the only character with a rogues gallery expansive and interesting enough to sustain an entire multi-season soap opera about his villians without him even being a main character. Granted, that show sucked, but you couldn't even attempt something like that with Spider-man or Supes.

>>154818341
All the above. The last two are more important than how they look but a mediocre looking villain with a decent gimmick and motive is more likely to be forgotten than a great looking villain with a mediocre gimmick and motive.

And then there’s a four option that’s gotten more important in the last 3-4 decades as writers have to play nice with what already exists and keep attempting to make the psychology and iconography of their heroes and villains deeper and complex.
>How well does the villain fit the hero’s established lore and theme?
If a villain comes along and retcons shit that’s already there they’re more likely to be hated, and if a villain comes along and twists/mirrors what the hero represents people imo seem to be more impressed by it even if everything else sucks about them.

>>154817726
That's because they are easy. Lex is just some guy, no origin is needed. And Zod can share Superman's origin. They are both used so that no director needs to waste half an hour of runtime explaining where some villain comes from or why they have superpowers.

They do the same shit with Doom by always making him the 5th member of the FF that turned evil.
>>
>>154818506
even if they were, there's no more societal climate to make new villains mainstream and iconic
>>
>>154817747
now remove batman's villains from this page
>>
>>154800212
this should have the justice league america black white aliens.
>>
Who has the 2nd best rogues gallery in Marvel?
Daredevil or Captain America?
>>
>>154814549
I might make more of them
I'm thinking Ares, Circe, Baroness von Gunther and Angle Man
>>
>>154818436
That's pretty funny, I kinda hope that if they ever do actually fight that it's treated like a big deal and not just a complete after thought.
>>
>>154800376
who the hell cares about Deadshot
>>
>>154797860
>Which superhero has the best rogue's gallery?
The Flash, not even debatable.
>>
>>154818919
Daredevil sucks. Bullseye and Kingpin do all the heavy lifting.

Most people try to compare Nightwing's rogues gallery to Batman, but I'd build it intentionally as a parallel to Superman.

>Luthor = Blockbuster | rich and self-serving but cares the city in his own warped way
>Zod = Deathstroke | elite military background, dark mirror of the hero's father
>Bizarro = Red X | steal him from the Titans and simplify Sheridan's shit
>Parasite = Professor Pyg | life-leech. strips peoples autonomy in their own ways
>Metallo = The Flamingo | robotic executioner, inhuman in a way
>Brainiac = The Zanni | high concept, can take an entire city hostage
>Mxy = Nite-Mite | not a villain but an imp is an imp
>Livewire = Double Dare | sexy, mouthy
>Doomsday = Talon | this is a stretch, but the only person who'd try to kill/break Dick is the guy who wants to rebuild him in his image. but he needs more autonomy from the court of owls to work.
>Darkseid = Gargoyle + The Antithesis | should really be reserved for major events

There are plenty of other villains I like for him, but I'm trying to fit a theme and I'm capped at 10. If I had more I'd say rework Deathwing for Cyborg Superman, use Raptor as a Lobo-esque character, and bring back The Clock as an old-timey villain like Toyman. And just use Lady Vic because I like her.

Why does everyone want to separate Nightwing from the Batman's rogues gallery, like he wasn't there when Finger laid their foundations?
Two-Face is the only big name golden age Batman villain where Robin wasn't involved in the origin.
>>
>>154810996
>Blockbuster
Every city needs their run of the mill crime lord. I'm sure some writer could do something interesting with him eventually.

>Sylph
Change her magic cloth to minor telekinesis so she stands out from most of his villains.

>Olivia Pearce
Keep Spheric Solutions and her militarizing Bludhaven's cops. She can be his token CEO/rich villain but she stands out from the others due to her horror slant.

>Zanni
He needs a higher concept villain and he fits Dick well.

>Hella
Keep her as the more brutal vigilante that people can sympathize with, especially with the militarization of BPD.

>Wyrm
This arc was fucking terrible and Dick was heavily mischaracterized and dumbed down in it, but an evil AI is a fit in these times, DC seems dead set on Babs taking up half the page time in Dick's book so might as well give her something to do, and he would stand out from all the more street level villains.

>Double Dare
Sexy thieves

>Crazy Quilt
Token joke villain who Dick doesn't take seriously but he also kinda has a point considering Dick made him go blind.

>James Jr
Token homoerotic villain. Have Dick be more open to helping him while Babs is seething over him.

>Talon and Saiko
I'm cheating here but I'd have them create a little CoO offshoot for the sole person of killing Dick. Gives him a token evil family member, token evil former friend, and I think them bitching to each other and having a little power struggle would be funny.
>>
>>154819830
I think that they should riff on the Batfamily and give Bludhaven several vigilantes, none of which Dick gets along with or wants to work with.

>Hella
Staunchly uncompromising, pure black and white judgment with no concept of mercy, mitigating circumstances, or leniency.

>Tarantula
Corrupt and sadistically murderous. Still would, even though he'd never admit it.

>Nite-Wing
Immature, impulsive, violent, impulsively violent, with zero indication of strategic thinking or planning.

You guys ever realize all of Spider-Man's villains are people who got great power and chose to use it irresponsibly?
>>
>>154820115
Well no, Nite-wing and Tarrantula are terrible characters.
>>
Taylor's Titans 2023 was maddening because there was a chance for THREE new powerful villains but Taylor/DC fucked up every single one of them by connecting them to older shit.

>Brother Eternity
Should’ve just been the leader of a space cult instead of taking over Church of Blood.
Should've had 2-4 sexy underlings that mirror various Titans members.
Shouldn’t have taken Blackfire’s part in Starfire’s origin.
Should've had more gravitas.

>Necrostar
Shouldn’t have been connected to Starro because having the JL’s sloppy seconds is the last thing the Titans need.
Should've just been a different shape/kind of alien if you have to avoid further Starro comparisons.
Should've just been a normal arc in the Titans book due to the Titans looking ineffectual in their own damn event.

>Dr Hate
Deadass just should’ve been a new character or a character nobody has used in ages instead of making them evil Raven.

And since his Titans arc in his Nightwing run was a backdoor pilot, there were technically FOUR villains he fucked up.
>Grinning Man
The weakest conceptually of Taylor's four new Titans villains so not really sure what to improve on other than making him more powerful, creepy, and imposing if he's going to be empowered by Neron.
>>
>>154820193
that's what makes them Kino
>>
>>154820193
I dunno man Vulture’s power seems pretty tame to me
>>
Silver Surfer is pretty bad. Wolverine really doesn't have that much going either considering how big he is.
>>
>>154820690
He can fly and has much power and endurance than a normal old man.
>>
>>154819606
>Why does everyone want to separate Nightwing from the Batman's rogues gallery, like he wasn't there when Finger laid their foundations?
Because every sidekick requires to have their own original rogues gallery one that doesn't need to take stuff from their previous hero.
>>
Copying >>154810996 for Tim

TIMFAGS OF /CO/
If you had 4-10 spots for a concrete/central rogue gallery for Tim, who would you pick and why?
>>
>>154821198
He was THE sidekick, so I'm sure he can make up the rules for how it goes forward.
>>
>>154797860
Who do yall think is the team character with the best rogue gallery?
ie the character has never had a solo (or if they did it was very short, like less than 12-18 issues) but the villains given to them in their team books are abnormally good or bountiful compared to other team characters.

Like I think Beast Boy could have a half decent rogue gallery in Terra, Deathstroke, Gemini, Zookeeper, and Necrostar, at least compared to Raven and Starfire who just have Trigon (and her brothers) and Blackfire respectively.
>>
>>154815892
>Mr Atom
>Dr. Sivana
>King Krull
We were robbed! Just having Sivana would have been enough, but Atom and Krull too? Who's the blonde between Joker and Penguin?
>>
>>154821316
I can only think of Anarky.
>>
>>154820417
Brother Eternity should have just been a sci-fi rebrand of Brother Blood. The Church of Blood meets Scientology.
Grinning Man was basically a shitty version of Everyman from 52.
>>
>>154816106
>>154817684
I think it's Kadabra, the high collar is his trademark.
>>
>>154821316
>King Snake
Duh
>Lynx
Duh
>Anarky
Duh
>Warlock’s Daughter
One of his best designed villains. Nobody read shadowpact. Can be his token magic villain.
>Council of Spiders
They need to be redesigned to be more spidery though.
>Cult of Dionysus
Terrible story but decent idea for villains. I would just give them a central figure and make their end goal more fitting of the name Dionysus.

>>154821444
Raven could have a decent one if they tweaked some of them.
>Trigon
Duh
>Trigon’s sons
They were shit due to them representing the sins for some reason (especially since Raven is NOT prideful) which made all of them incredibly flat. Dump that and dump all but 2-3. Have a clear leader of the group and the other one or two be followers that way they can do a starscream or a face heel turn depending on the story.
>Wyld
He was strange but her having some weird offspring she accidentally created and now has to deal with is at least something different compared to other Titans villains, and her not giving a fuck about him technically being her offspring could be funny.
>Shadow Riders
Easy the best concept of all her villains and the coolest looking ones too. They just need a central figure to be the main villain.
>Malchior
I still can’t believe they haven’t made this dude canon yet. Manipulative evil wizard dragon is a cool idea for her.
>>
>>154821316
Tim has an even worse rogue gallery than Dick but nobody gives him shit because he hasn’t had a book over 12 issues in 2011.

>>154821581
No, because Titans need more powerful villains. Attaching a new one to a preexisting shit villain defeats the purpose. I don’t know why Taylor didn’t just make him a religious cult leader from Tamaran who just got exiled for trying to start shit.
>>
>>154821765
I see what you're saying, but that sounds redundant. Two villains with the same general themes, but one is satanic and the other is sci-fi? Why?
Brother Eternity was a way to move the Church of Blood past the satanic panic of the 1980s. Make it believable as a cult that's relevant in the modern age. That was the perfect intro, Taylor just fucked it up with his twist.
>>
>>154821444
Donna Troy

Hyperion and the rest of the Titans of Myth (considering they brainwashed her)
Red Panzer III (technically was created for her in Titans 1999, even if he's a legacy of Diana's villain)
Lord Chaos
Dark Angel
Perfection
Bogeyman

Perfection is a oneshot villain but is a decent premise, Bogeyman was a one panel villain but could be a decent creepy early fab five villain, and Lord Chaos and Red Panzer sucked but eh what can you do when all writers want to do for the last 20 years is write a origin story
>>
>>154820193
They are also low class nobodies that got superpowers like Peter.
>>
>>154821765
>>154821899
the bigger issue was taylor leaning into johns' church of blood = trigon worshipers bullshit

Several but they usually fail to catch on for very long.
>Owlman
>Killer Moth
>Prometheus
and of course
>the Batman who LOLs, LMAOs, ROTFLMAOs even

Daredevil's is mid. He's like Green Arrow and Aquaman in that he has two good villains (Kingpin and Bullseye) but the rest are ok to terrible to basically nonexistent.

Captain America's is good and is definitely their second best solo hero rogue gallery.

Fantastic Four is their second best rogue gallery in general.

Played Arkham games. Deadshot was in Arkham City and Arkham Origin. His boss fight was one of the unique ones, especially in origin, so he is cool in my book, and I care.
>>
>>154797860
Is it a hot take to say that Green Lantern doesn't have a good rogue gallery
Outside of Sinestro and Hammond there's a bunch of mediocre ring guys who all have the same powers and then a bunch of non ring guys who haven't been used in 100 years

Kyle's in particular is bad and John and Guy don't even have one despite being like 50 years old
