I think most people who are interested in creating comics or cartoons understand that the official story around Smiling Friends is fake. Most of us would kill to have a show on Adult Swim, even if just for the income, and it running for seasons upon seasons would get us fat paid for many years of our lives, even if some nobodies would seethe about it, but Zach just chose to end it after three seasons, after literally starving himself in LA for a decade to make it happen?
