I like Korra. Zaheer was cool, Kuvira was alright (would’ve been better if we got her backstory). My main problem is with season 2, not that I dislike Unalock. It’s just the entire season from beginning to end is filled to the brim with asspulls to move the plot to particular places. From Korra being a bitch, to Mako being a snitch, and the constant bailouts for Unalock. And then the cherry on top is scrapping all the past lives and leaving the portals open. I’m fine with her temporarily losing the connection but she needs to regain it at some point. A few anons mention there should've been an overarching narrative and while Korra doesn’t need a fire nation/lord threat I think the red lotus is something of a missed opportunity that could’ve used more focus. Given Unalock’s connection, Zaheer’s group, and Korra’s supposed child kidnapping thus the whole reason she grew up in a white lotus camp.
