Thankfully people like Thad have helped me realize that other artists deserved to be credited, and I get the feeling Butch doesn't do that as often as even John K himself. My theory is that Nick wanted their own Harry Potter and because FOP was about magic it filled that niche. It also explains why they focused more on the fairies and less on the human cast everytime it came back. Which backfired as most FOP fans cared more about the human cast than the fairies.

Season 4's still pretty good, but there's elements of chainsaw Vicky in later episodes. (Which would later become her default character.)
