Anyone reading the new Vertigo comics? I don't see anyone ever being them up or storytime them.
Do you think we could ever again hit the highs of the 90s and 00s?

No

How's this?
>>
>>154819014

I quite frankly forgot "New Vertigo" was even supposed to be a thing.

Damn

They shit the bed again. Are any of the new books even set in the DC universe or are they just corporate copies of indie books?

I'm currently reading 100 Bullets so I haven't tried the new mini series but so far (about 30 issues in) 100 Bullets is pure fucking kino.

John Constantine?

I am. Even considered storytiming them since the first arcs of the first wave just ended. Generally I would say, Bleeding Hearts is great, some of Camp's best, End of Life is mixed, the plot isn't terrible but it relies a lot on its humor and if it doesn't work for you, like it didn't work for me, then the series will fall flat. The Peril of the Brutal Dark is pretty decent, basically a noir detective thrown into an Indiana Jones adventure. I haven't read the new 100 Bullets, but I've heard it's mostly Azzerello's TDS. No thanks.

New Vertigo is specifically mature stories not set in the DC universe. Stories set in the DC universe are under Black Label, and those are non-canon, essentially 18+ elseworlds stories.

I was only interested in the Tamaki and Spurrier ones and they're not out yet. They announced them a full yer until they came out, which is very stupid.
>>
>>154821361
i think aftrer the first issue of poeple stopped storytiming then
>>
>>154824335
I don't think I've seen a storytime of them besides Bleeding Hearts #1
>>
>>154824409
I saw one for the comic about the assassin who robs his boss and runs away to his hometown, but I think that was the only other one

There hasn’t been a good vertigo series since twilight children. Frankly even going back to the original 80s releases most of them have always been dogshit with a few classics tossed in.

As for the current ones there’s nothing there worth reading for free.

Wrong.
