This is one of those ideas that actually is one I liked. Typically I do like when characters are more like cyborgs and that does fit the era of Weapon X. It made sense for that story. But I dunno, I just see it as cooler and fitting with the world. It make sense for the titular Wolverine to have claws as part of his mutation and Sabertooth has claws of his own and enhanced senses. So if Logan has that, then I would assume claws are an extension of that. Plus you still get some respect to the dehumanization angle that Weapon X had and they were confused scientists who were being puppeted by Apocalypse who BWS actually left room to be revealed as the mastermind even if he felt if it cheapened the story a bit. They couldn't tell fully the effects of the bonding and the excess grafting or forming claws. But then again, I'm a guy who likes mechanical webshooters over organic webs which I feel more strongly about and I am more familiar with. Dunno if there is more to the no bone claws argument. I could also see more details added to the story that are retcons like the scientists shaving and forming his bones into the sharp shapes that would look right once the adamantium is applied.And the idea that Wolverine should be an innocent turned into a killing machine? I dunno. Nature creates mutations for various purposes and killing is one of them. I'm fine with them being natural and Logan still being a man who was something else but became even more exaggerated in otherness after Weapon X. But yeah, my opinion is not too well informed by years of reading Wolverine so perhaps implants are alright.
