The economy's shit, people arent having kids, animation's expensive, these shorts arent even making a significant return on investment nor will they see phsyical releases, and since hasbro already owns a vast media library to train AI on they'll probably settle for that option.

They keep pumping billions into AI and it still loses them billions more because there’s no substantial or reliable revenue stream in it. McDonald’s and WalMart tried something similar with their kiosks and that was a failure to the point they’re rolling it back. There’s only so many “it’ll totally get better dude” promises investors are willing to waste money on before they pull it.

If all the biggest names in AI were shuttered right now the tech would still remain but advance at a slower pace. You'd just kick the can down the road another five to ten years.
