Mostly because of the movie. Before that Lantern posting was a big event around these parts. Other characters would get sorted into lantern corps. There was OC content. I don't think we even did Holiday Lanterns last couple years. Sad really. Current books are decent I suppose.

Same reason they can't keep a Legion of Superheroes title running, DC has never had anyone capable of writing Advanced/Alien society adventures.
