Do we have any leaks on what the plot for this would have been?
>>154832129Likely none exist as Marvel has been known to wing it, writing the script as they shoot. It happened with Doomsday
>>154832129I don't understand why can't they just cast a new actor considering they established that there's multiple version of Kang
>>154832129Not much, just a few tidbits:>As per Michael Waldron, a subplot involving the Young Avengers had them fight the Lizard Kang, which was so hard for them that once they defeat him it was meant to be a triumphant moment, only to be subverted by that Kang handing them a card saying "Be patient, it's my first time as Kang".>Neither the X-Men nor the Fantastic Four were going to be in the film per Jeff Loveness.>The structure of the film was supposed to follow three main groups of heroes, mainly comprised of phase 4 characters like Shang-Chi (who was meant to be one of the protagonists), each going against one of the three main Kangs of the film: Scarlet Centurion, Rama-Tut and Immortus.>The Kang from Quantumania was heavily rumoured to make a surprise return at the end of the film, having acquired god-like powers and becoming the MCU version of the Beyonder. He'd wipe out the rest of the Kangs before taking his role as the main villain of Secret Wars.I guess once Doomsday and SW release, we'll get more info about what the original version was meant to be.
>>154832129Take the Doomsday plot. Replace with Kang variants attacking the Raimi verse, Fox verse, F4 verse and the MCU timeline plus the TVA. They were gonna do god emperor Kang till Majors crashed and burned and they overreacted by throwing Kang out and casting RDJ as Doom.
>>154832300The Fox xmen were clearly another desperate audience grab. I think the F4 would have been involved like the Guardians in Infinity War.
>>154832321Most rumours say the film mainly took place in 616. The FF and X-Men weren't going to appear either, and if so, they wouldn't have been substanial roles.
>>154832162It's not solely about the actor. Marvel decided Kang didn't connect with audiences enough to carry the big crossover event and they needed to pivot to someone more popular.
>>154832380Maybe they should've cast an actor who actually fit the character or gotten anything of his actual appeal as a villain from the comics or other adaptions across in how he was written. The multiple versions thing is like the worst part of the character to focus on since it's such a footnote for him beyond focusing on how he's also his own worst enemy or delving into his personality and how he's explored history. Making that the entire crux of him as a threat is such an absolute misunderstanding of Kang
>>154832380The retards just needed to do one movie (Kang Dynasty) and if it worked then do Secret Wars if they really had to do it. But they decided to bet everything on Majors in a way they never did Hiddlestons Loki or Brolin as Thanos. Kang in Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars, Loki, Young Avengers, What If?, Deadpool. The plan was to have him appear as an overwhelming constant presence all over the MCU for like half a decade.
>>154832380Yeah, upon reflection it sounds like they just wanted an excuse to be rid of him. Which is insane because he was doing great as Kang.
>>154832440As many have said, there should've been anpther Avengers film in between Endgame and the final two parter. Yes, it would've diminished the Box Office from that of Endgame, but it would've helped the brand in the long run. They could've used it to firmly establish the new Avengers for audiences to follow.
>>154832162>they established that there's multiple version of KangThey also established that every single one of those versions were Jonathan Majors.
Shit's so dumb in retrospect, because now it makes the entirety of "Loki" look like it was just build up for an Ant-Man movie, and for anyone who doesn't know all the behind-the-scenes stuff and doesn't know what the original plan for Kang was, it's just gonna come off as... Why? Why the fuck were two whole seasons of a Loki show spent hyping up an Ant-Man villain? The two characters have nothing to do with each other and the villain wasn't even all that impressive.
>>154832162Probably a contract thing. Stuck with either this guy or no one.
>>154832129It’s pretty obvious what would happen>lots of kangs are a problem>heroes from multiple universes fight the kangs. >they lose>doom stops Kang by merging the multiverse into doomworld
>>154832346>Most rumours say the film mainly took place in 616.616 with no X-Men...Anon you are lying to me.616 with no X-Men.The shit they try to pull out here.Imagine if I told you the 616 universe in the comics had no X-Men in it.Imagine if I told you Earth 1 had no Justice League in it.Heh.........They think we're all brown.
>>154832793That's really on the Loki crew and Marvel. Kang was originally going to be a one-off villain for Ant-Man 3 (Peyton Reed wanted to use Kang as early as 2018 when making Ant-Man 2). Majors is cast as Kang during 2020 for Ant-Man 3, the movie spent a long time in pre-production so much that when it was finally filming, it coincides with the production of Loki, Marvel execs watched Majors' performance and are impressed by it and have the idea to maybe use Kang for another film instead of just Ant-Man 3, the Loki crew also watched the dailies of Quantumania and then they got the idea to change the ending of their show, to feature a Kang variant that controls the TVA and is behind the multiverse (originally it was a Loki variant), that way it connects with Quantumania's Kang who is banished from the Multiverse, with this Marvel finally decides to upgrade Kang into the new Thanos. It's really the result of Marvel's lack of planning and doing shit on the fly, that's why Kang is only referenced in Loki and Ant-Man even though other things from Phase 4 and 5 feature the Multiverse, it was a decision that backfired but this is how Marvel is used to operate, for example the lore of the Infinity Stones in the MCU is something that James Gunn came up on the fly while making Guardians and Marvel thought it was good enough, it's how they were used to run things but it blew up in their face.
>>154832440>Young Avengers, What If?, Deadpool. He wasn't slated to appear in any of these.
>>154833189>Deadpool.>He wasn't slated to appear in any of these.I don't know if it was an early draft or just rumors, but supposedly the original plot of what eventually became Deadpook & Wolverine was the TVA was actually putting together their own team of heroes to fight Kang throughout the multiverse, comprised of the "best" version of each hero, and Movie Deadpool was the best Deadpool. Supposedly Mobius and the reformed Miss Minutes were also going to be involved.
>>154833183Perhaps it was Inherently a stupid idea to waste one of the Avengers most prominent enemies on a Scott Lang Ant-Man sequel. It's even dumber cause tyrant of a micro-verse is literally Psycho-man's deal.
>>154833234That's fake, anon. As fake as the movie being set on Earth-828 and revealing Wanda was Magneto's daughter all along.
>>154833247>That's fake, anon.Fair enough, I even said it might've just been rumors, but the way Disney and Marvel run things nowadays, it sounds completely plausible that they'd go "We're not doing Kang anymore! Shit, completely change the plot of Deadpool 3!"
>>154833242It's a decent idea if you don't shoot yourself in the foot and try to sell Kang as the next Thanos while hijacking a movie that was specifically conceived to make him lose to the underdog, just commit to the idea and maybe tease that Kang could return for an Avengers movie. It's not hard, they did this with Loki in the first Thor movie to the first Avengers. It's not like Kang doesn't make sense to be in an MCU Ant-Man movie, Pym Particles are the reason that they invented Time Travel, Kang's whole deal, which is not in the movie since Marvel is also confused with the concept of Timelines/Multiverse and they might as well be the the same thing for them.
>>154833307All they had to do was keep Kang alive by the end of the movie AND actually commit to the idea that Scott and Hope were clearly supposed to be trapped in the Quantum Realm at the end. It's funny how immediately and universally everyone in the world agreed that that was clearly the original ending, and if it wasn't, it should've been. At least that way, there would've been a reason for them to not inform the Avengers about Kang, unlike in the finished movie, where Scott doesn't because... just because, I guess.
>>154833361The original ending was Kang seemingly dying to his multiversal core, they had concept art of this and that didn't change. What they changed is both Scott and Hope being trapped in the Quantum Realm because it's the same thing that happened in Ant-Man and The Wasp, and there's no real stakes to this ending because Hank, Janet and Cassie are in the real world and they literally mastered Quantum Travel in the second movie plus Endgame making a bunch of Quantum Portals like nothing, it's a cliffhanger that doesn't make sense when you think about it and Marvel realized this, once they finished the whole fucking thing. This is mostly because of the lack of plan, every ending is awkward because if Kang wins and escapes, then him being such a big deal means nothing should happen from that point in the MCU, from his point of view he could disappear, take a year or decades to prepare and then pop minutes after the events of Quantumania and start his invasion with a full army. When you think about it, Quantumania is not suited to start a phase with Kang, but rather be the prologue to the ending of a phase and immediately follow up with an Avengers movie that continues the setup.
>>154832751That shit was so weird. It's like they deliberately set themselves up for the actor to fuck things up so they can ditch Kang without doubts, because they never believed in the idea to begin with.
>>154833492>it's a cliffhanger that doesn't make sense when you think about itI dunno, you could at least handwave it with various stuff.>Hank, Janet and Cassie are in the real world and they literally mastered Quantum Travel in the second movie plus Endgame making a bunch of Quantum Portals like nothingMaybe, even though they know how to access the Quantum Realm, it would take them a long time to create a new device from scratch for it. Maybe they can build the device quickly and access the Quantum Realm, but they don't know where in the realm specifically Scott and Hope are. Maybe Kang attacks the real world before they can rescue them. Maybe they quickly locate Scott and Hope and go to rescue them, but the rat from Endgame comes by and switches off the device, trapping all five of them there. Maybe Hank and Janet just die from old age, and while Cassie is capable, her building a portal device goes a lot slower without their help. The original idea may have been a cliffhanger that doesn't make sense, but it's still far better than the actual movie's ending, where Scott thinks "Could Kang be a threat again? ...Nah" for absolutely no fucking reason other than it's not time for an Avengers movie yet.
>>154832300>a subplot involving the Young Avengers had them fight the Lizard Kang, which was so hard for them that once they defeat him it was meant to be a triumphant moment, only to be subverted by that Kang handing them a card saying "Be patient, it's my first time as Kang"Kek
>>154833638It sounds like a cliffhanger that just doesn't have a leg to stand on, they could just call Banner and use the Endgame portal to reach them, it took Hank and Hope 2 years to build one from scratch while on the run from the FBI, now Hank and Janet are super rich with all the time of world, or just do like how Scott did in the first movie and got out by jamming a blue disk in his belt to grow. It's like something that would be resolved off-screen, and be ready for the next Avengers movie. Same goes for the actual movie's ending, it's a cliffhanger that would probably be solved off-screen with Scott warning other Avengers and then during Kang Dynasty the new Avengers are already a thing, that's what I see Marvel doing. Janet should know that not warning others about Kang was a problem and should not repeat it again, Cassie was all about being a hero and Marvel wanted to plant the seeds of the Young Avengers forming for some reason, and Scott's whole deal in the movie is learning to be a more proactive hero than before. Neither makes much sense other than to hype the next movie, which highlights Quantumania's awkward placement, if this was planned from the start, then the next movie should be Kang Dynasty, goes to show that Kang in Quantumania was originally a one-off and trying to use it as a setup made them write themselves into a corner.
>>154832129HE WUZ KANG
>>154832380>Marvel decided Kang didn't connect with audiencesYeah kinda hard to make them a threat when every version you show fucking loses.
>>154832129Kang is such a Gigachad and Waldro n is based.>>154832793>Insulting a show that’s a masterpieceKYS faggot.
So we all agree that the Loki series was amazing as FUCK and actually gave the audience, especially the male audience and not teenaged girl shippers and fujos what they want, was funny, deep, Kang is a chad and the actor was fired over retarded false accusations, and Micheal Waldron is truly fucking based and should be allowed to write the rest of the MCU, right? The MCU shat the bed getting rid of Kang, but Waldron is smart enough I have hope for doomsday. But we will all hold our torches for what once was.
>>154832129>Can't accidentally leak the story outline for your huge multi-movie franchise if you don't even bother to write one and just clumsily make and fit together every movie on a complete whim Smart honestly
>>154833875Rick and Morty writers are p good and make the MCU funny.
>>154834347>Micheal Waldron is truly fucking based and should be allowed to write the rest of the MCU, right?>Michael Waldron>Writer of Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness>The movie that ruined Wanda because he didn't want someone else to play with evil Scarlet Witch, HE wanted to do it and he wanted to do it NOW>There's a very good chance that Wanda will never be seen again, or come back still as a batshit crazy villain>Not to mention the (in)famous "I had no idea what to do with this script"No... No, anon. No, no, no. No.
>>154833583It's just lazy double standards, there is a reason all kangs and wandas were the same but loki variants were diverse
>>154834347>Lokifag post>This late at night
>>154833189Speaking of which, didn’t the Kangs get dealt with off screen in What If? I thought they made some comment that Captain Carter handled all of them.
>>154832129Didn't the whole script leak like last year? I have the PDF on my phone I thought it was real.
>>154832129george floyd lookin ahh
>>154835626It was made by a fan
>>154835814Source? Just because that would be depressing if true
>>154834322>KYS faggot.Jesus Christ, anon, I didn't even say I disliked the show. I was talking purely within the context of the character of Kang. Why don't you calm down and actually process what you're reading before you hit the Post button?
>>154835626Wasn't there one that had both Peter and Miles in the MCU?
>>154832162They are really in a hurry to use their emergency RDJ appearance so they just don't have time to course correct.
>>154836970don't bother, loki schizo is a resident autist and defends his show to the death. I'm another lokitard and I hate him for being so obnoxious about it, like there's zero self awareness. but to respond to your initial post...>>154832793I agree, Doomsday won't inspire anyone to go back to Loki, nor will watching it answer any questions that may have arisen from it. Their canon is so unbelievably broken by removing Kang it's shocking that they'd resort to adding x-men this soon into the story. the original plot was probably>Kang is fucking up everything everywhere all at once>x-men are shunted into 616 mcu >multiversal teamup unintentionally causes Kangs defeat>Loki completely absent because adding him taints his eternity time loop God of Stories and lifeblood of yggdrasil narrative
>>154833957One way this cliffhanger could have worked is if both Kang and Scott are sucked into the multiversal core and the post credits show Scott waking up in another universe, like the FF earth or something feeling dread because if he's alive then that means Kang is alive out there in the Multiverse and you could have him be the cause of an incursion in Kang Dynasty.
>>154832129Kang steals all the bikes in the multiverse.
>>154836981That's the one because it was written during a time where spiderman 4 was supposed to be a team up with Tom Hardy's Venom and release in 2023.
>>154832129We wuz Kangs and shit til we wuzn't
>>154839472
>>154837160Thorfags disgusting as Lokibros aren’t lokibros, you fag. Fuck off.
>>154839885Not the guy you’re replying too. I like both personally, and I think you’re a retard. I hope Thor and Loki hug, pat one another on the back, and make amends for past issues so you cry and shit your pants like you did at your family reunion.
>>154832300> BeyonderOh, it would've just turned into Secret Wars with Kang's remade world being Battleworld, followed by the reboot
>>154832380Lol no they didn't. They were doubling down on keeping him until we made "Marvel supports domestic abuse" start tending and they had to pull the plug
>>154840890I imagine they would've pulled more from Shooter's SW than Hickman's SW, which is now the main basis for the upcoming film.
So we all agree the Loki series was mega based and the best thing to come out of marvel, Waldron is a good writer who’s reigns were cut thanks to false accusations against majors, Kang is a gigachad, Majors is a chad, and that Marvel screwed the pooch getting rid of him, right? It would have been the best fucking movie ever. Marvel was finally listening to what MEN and not fangirls and troons want with the Loki series, and getting rid of majors was them listening to the fangirls again. Ah well, CHADlron is writing Doomsday. Why aren’t we celebrating?>>154834521I hate MCU Wanda, Wandabro. I prefer comic Wanda. Trust me when I say Waldron knows what he’s doing and if Majors wasn’t fired, he would have saved the MCU sooner. Rick and Morty writers know how to do this shit considering their final season was amazing. Trust them. We do.
>>154840015Sure you are, little gay boy. You can’t be a fan of both if you’re media literate and don’t have shit taste.
>>154841082>>154839885>lokibros>is actually a lokischizo you do realize I didn't mention thor a single time until this post just now to call you a retarded schizo desperate for attention, right?
>>154841228Best not to argue with a guy who shits himself at family reunions and is more than happy to tell everyone, Lokibro. I’ve yet to see this faggot make any point outside of sucking the MCU’s dick and bitching about how Character A would be better if Characfer B who is related to them didn’t exist.
>>154840978> Pulled more from old, good thing instead of new, worse thingSkeptical
>>154842770>´84 SW>GoodI know we like being contrarians here but come on
>>154837233I'm picturing this as a parallel to the opening of Infinity War. Scott's laying there on the ground or on a med table or something and he wakes up, realizing, going "Kang! Kang is still out there!" Reed and Sue look at him, confused, and Reed asks "Who?">Cut to the Avengers theme playing>"ANT-MAN WILL RETURN IN AVENGERS: KANG DYNASTY"
>>154843726That could work, it could also be like Scott with his broken suit walking in a New York that he doesn't recognize like Steve in the first Cap movie, maybe he sees something familiar like a young Hank Pym in the news and his discovery of Pym Particles and then sees the FF fighting Galactus and that would be tease to First Steps. And then the post-credit scene of First Steps is Scott showing up in the Baxter building, looking for this Earth's mightiest heroes.
>>154832129Failed bodybuilder seeks to take over all reality?
>>154843726>>154843938There was a point when First Steps was supposed to come right after Quantumania so it could have worked
>>154832129still waiting for whatever the fuck harry styles was going to do as thanos' brother
>>154832129It's kind of hard to take him as a multiversal threat when he already lost to Ant-Man and was killed a few times in Loki.
>>154845022And was the Penelope Cat to Miss Minutes' Pepe le Pew.
>>154832793I guess it also set up Deadpool and Wolverine for what its worth.
>>154845022That's the problem, every time we saw him he lost. and lost in a away that made him look kind of pathetic. He was an unimpressive armored guy with wrist lasers in Ant Man, a dorky weirdo that died over and over again in Loki, and some guy at a desk that did nothing at all and was stabbed in season 1. Nothing hyped him at all. On the other side, we have nothing but hype and fear around Thanos. He was shown to be the final boss of villains back in Guardians, constantly hyped as invincible and the boss of Loki's boss in Avengers.
>>154845177They should have made every Phase 4 villain either a minion of Kang or a variant of Kang. Including Kang which results in Avengers vs Immortus.Thor 4 the villain is Zarko, a minion of Kang sent from the future. Ms Marvel villain is Iron Lad, who appears again in IronheartFalcon and Winter Soldier discover Victor Timely was behind the Flag SmashersBrave New World Avengers villain is actually Scarlet Centurion who manufactured Red HulkResults in Regular green and Purple Kang being the villain in Doomsday, then when he is defeated, the heroes discover they were all minions of Immortus who already rules all time.
I gotta ask, does He Who Remains actions make any sense at all when you factor in season 2 of Loki?In season 1, it made sense because he was looking for a replacement. So he let things wild out a bit, all to manipulate Loki and Sylvie meeting with him and taking over his job. He's tired, he wants out, but someone needs to do the job. Instead, Sylvie kills him and fucks everything up.In season 2, He Who Remains' motivation changes. He rigged the station so that without him, its a bomb. He left behind a no-win situation, all so Loki could free him from being killed by Sylvie, and then HWR can solve the station problem and he goes back to maintaining the Sacred Timeline....Which makes no fucking sense to me. Because then why did he initiate the events of season 1 in the first place? He doesn't want to give up his position. The TVA wouldn't splinter into factions, some going rogue. He doesn't need Loki to fix the timelines dying, because that only happens due to the station bombing out, which is only happening because HWR is not at the helm.S2 retcons HWR so that he creates this massive shitstorm all in service so that he... keeps his position. But without the shitstorm he initiated, he was in no danger of losing it to begin with. Its so dumb.If it wasn't for Loki's character arc, that second season would be pure nonsense garbage.
>>154841228Real bros like both. Lokischizo makes it almost impossible to talk about either.
>>154843938>>154844577I could see that. I can picture it now:>Ant-Man walks into the Baxter Building>Reed: "Hey there, Hank. What brings you here?">Scott: "Okay, so, sorry. First off...">He deactivates his helmet>Scott: "Not Hank. And second: This is gonna sound crazy, but..."
>>154846657This really should have worked better, what the hell was Marvel doing all this time
>>154832300I saw a video detailing what you described more in-depth.shockingly enough, that shit sounded even WORSE than doomsday.like if doomsday feels like diarrhea, this was the ass it came from
>>154832129Why would you introduce this big saga connecting villain in a fucking tv show, and make him lose in the film introduction?Thanos didn't appear in the fucking Defenders then job to Antman.>covidwho the fuck watched any of the disney+ shit regardless
>>154847164>what the hell was Marvel doing all this timeIt's hard to believe that this was the same studio that pulled off Phase 1 borderline flawlessly.
>>154847501See>>154833183Kang as the Multiverse saga's villain was an idea that Marvel had during the production of Ant-Man 3 when he originally was a one-off but Marvel liked the actor so much they thought he could work as a the main villain. They had no plan most of the early Phase 4 was only building to the vague concept of the Multiverse and later Marvel would pivot to Kang, that's why they split Phase 4 and called Quantumania the start of Phase 5
