Their dryer stopped working and they were going to buy another. I found a $5 part online and got it working again and it still works three years later. They tell me I am hard on my things and break them though, even though most of my things last a decade or more, like I've had my car for 17 years and I replace my smartphone only when it's really obsolete. They keep talking about the time they got me a $20 cassette player advertised as rugged and waterproof when I was like 10 years old and it stopped working like an hour after I bought it because I dropped it like two feet.

Modern DnD players get a bad wrap because of things like Critical Roll and a louder minority of theater kids. But I think a lot of people still want to play a solid dungeon adventure if they're given a chance and some guidance. I still play with them, one of them wants to try his hand at DMing.
