>movie where Peter Parker is the only Spider-Man is about to be the second biggest movie of all time and earn 2 billion dollars>promo tour is talking about replacing himCult behavior
Miles can only make muneh when Peter, Gwen, or some other Spider character is around to prop him up
>>154843886A Miles movie would make money, even if you don't like him
>>154843916
>>154843916It wouldn’t make money from me
>>154843932
>>154843886I have a proposal.
>>154844194This would have solved so much of the problems with Miles.
>>154844194>racemixing is only okay if I get to do itFake racists, all of you
>>154844194>Michelle MoralesAnon. I don't think you understand what you're suggesting here.
>>154844194>>154844213It would've also made sense given Bendis' supposed explanation that he made Miles so his adopted black kids could have their own Spider-Man, since he only has black daughters.
>>154843886They don't want to fumble spiderman the same way they've fumbled all their other franchises. Eventually he's gonna age out, they want that back door built in.
>>154843886>The only safe havens from Miles for now are Tokon, YFNSM, and RivalsAnd they still have at least one other Spider with Peni in the former two and now Gwen in the latter
>>154843916Maybe enough to break even but it certainly won't come close to making a billion.
>>154844228Hugh Jackman is unironically playing Wolverine until he's 90, that's not an issue
>>154844232Neither Spider-Verse movie certainly hasn't made that much
>>154843886Why can't you fuckers accept that Holland is getting old? Hating Miles is one thing but all yous pretend Holland is gonna stay young forever. Despite most of his Spiderman movies being worse than the Raimi films, you have to accept he has acted as Spiderman in more films than the other two actors before him. He needs to go eventually but Battleword being used to kill off the multiverse means no more Raimiverse or Marc Webb-verse (if any of you weirdos actually cared about that). Without the ither two Spiderman, a Miles actor is probably the only way to pass on the torch organically without looking forced as hell.
>>154843886this only proves that animation is kill.besides, ITSV > BND
>>154844269Hugh Jackman is 57 and his Logan literally died in Logan and they found a way to bring him back, Hulk got recast three times, Rhodey got recast once, acting like Miles is the ONLY option is cult behavior
>>154843916It already did, the Spiderverse films prove it
>>154844272>multiverse slop > grounded Spider-Man movieI'm tired of larpers in my fandom
>>154844194If you did that there’d be shadow the hedgehog shipping with her.
>>154844305this grounded spider-man movie with mind control and rage monsters wasn't very good.the coming-of-age movie about a relatable underdog featuring spider-man cameos was actually good and MCU Peter already had a good grounded movie with minimal fantastic elements in Homecoming, Iron Man was there for like 5 minutes.
>>154844302Funny how you call them "the Spiderverse films" and not "the Miles films"
>>154844269It's always forced when they pass the torch to Miles, the latest Insomniac game beign especially egregious with it
>>154844346>this grounded spider-man movie with mind control and rage monsters wasn't very good.Regular staples of grounded Spider-Man stories>the coming-of-age movie about a relatable underdog featuring spider-man cameos was actually good lol no
>>154844353nobody calls the raimi movies "Peter movies"
>>154844293>Hulk got recast three timesOnly once. Bill Bixby, Eric Bana and Ed Norton's Hulks are all different Hulks. Ed Norton was the only one who was recast which is why we now have Mark Ruffalo.
>>154844368They were called the Spider-Man movies until Spider-Man movies by more directors were made, are there any other movies with Miles other than the Spider-Verse movies that I don't know about?
>>154844293>Hulk got recast three timesIt's a real shame, Norton's Hulk is the best we're ever going to get.
>>154844302And did those films do better or worse than the movies where Peter was Spider-Man?
>>154843886>movie where Peter Parker is the only Spider-Man is about to be the second biggest movie of all time and earn 2 billion dollarsYou mean for the ninth time?
Miles is forced so fucking much and it's getting tiresome. No one likes him
>>154844431>hey pete do you know oscar? no. didn't think so.
>>154844463I mean he does, Peter was by far the best part of that movie.
>>154844463>Winning the same award that nominated Boss Baby
>>154844463
I would like the Miles stuff if they simply did the obvious thing and made Peter grow OLD before passing the torch instead of passing into someone a couple years younger
>>154844269It's obvious that the goal is "find a way to shoehorn Miles in" and they work backwards from that rather than "Tom Holland will stop playing Spider-Man eventually how do we handle that">they can just recast him like they recast the Insomniac Spider-Man>they can have an alt universe Garfield Spider-Man even if the Webb universe is destroyed like how there are multiple Jackman Logans >they can do an older Spider-Man for the first time ever by dumping a truck full of money in Tom's yard >they can have May or Richard or an original character that's his progeny succeed Peter The fact that none of these are even considered make their agenda really obvious
>>154844365>Regular staples of grounded Spider-Man storiestoo bad BND only had them for an introduction montage with all the scenes already in the trailer. these are all the scenes where our grounded classic spider-man villains appear before Punisher, Hulk and Jean take over the movie.
>>154844512I think they'd go bankrupt before even considering the last two at least
>>154843886I get the feeling Holland wants to move on from the character and do "serious" movies now. Oscar bait stuff. That said, I don't think Disney forgot what happened the last time they got rid of all their cash cows.
>>154844521>before Punisher, Hulk and Jean take over the movieStandard Spider-Man stuff
>>154844491congratulations to the visual effects team, now come back when the movie itself wins.
>>154844562Retard lmao
>>154844556Clearly they didn't, considering it's not even out yet
>>154843916WHY do you feel like you have to worship blax? Do you even know?
>>154844512I'd like to have Miles as Spider-man while Pete is busy doing space shit in Doomsday.
>>154844227>his adopted black kids could have their own Spider-Man,Its fucking enraging. This black worship just makes me hate them more.
>>154843886Anon, you need to understand a lot of what’s said during press tours is bullshit intended for a quick clickbait article. Press ask questions they know the stars can’t answer and the stars answer it in the most PC way possible then variety writes up a quick article they can put on Facebook. No one really thinks Miles is going to head a multi-million dollar movie but it sounds good on social media.
>>154844562You could say the same about Spider-Verse since the animated movie award is not the Best Picture award, in fact the Visual Effects award is more prestigious than Best Animated Feature especially since we know for a fact the votes are mostly decided by the judges' kids
>>154844463>Best animation OscarYou dumb faggot. They only invented the Category to keep The Lion King from winning Best Picture. It's a throwaway Oscar like Best supporting actor. Into and Across also never improved Miles popularity in general Spiderman media. His comics still sold like shit and his game sold like shit. People enjoyed those movies because of the OTHER spider-men, not mikes
>>154844595anyone with dreads can be Spider-Man.
>>154844579I'd like you to refrain from posting your terrible opinions publicly in the future
buckbroken faggot is spamming now lmao.
>>154843916we already have spiderverse, spiderverse 2 and spiderverse 3we don't need a live action blackspider unless childish gambino is in it
>>154843916China won't watch it and that's a huge market to give up>>154844637This is the core problem with Miles. He was created to replace Peter, not work alongside his mythos
>>154844633I'm sorry you were saying something? I don't speak ebonics. My college professor told me the negro american language is an entire language onto itself because of....reasons and it is not a dialect because blacks totally need to know that duh words dey speakin' are a language and not a dialec or sumpin. Even doe nobuddy nowadaze even be sayin dat shit in public and blacks probably don't even need to feel demselves less dey becum a wildin' foo.Oh yeah and nobody but Peter grew this character into a multi-billion dollar IP.
>>154844659When Miles replaced Peter, Ultimate Spider-Man comic sales nosedived. They had to put him next to Peter to get anyone to read his garbage
>>154843916No it wouldnt lmao
>>154844643Ah yes we see now the creature thinks that one anonymous poster is another. A classic fallacy by the unintelligent. Expecting past data to automatically be a sign of future results. A blunder that is sure to be a rude awakening for them.
>>154844648we had 3 raimi movies and that didn't stop sony from wanting more money. 3 cartoon Miles movies doesn't mean there won't be a MCU Miles movie. the only downside is that as long as sony exists they will fuck up Miles just like they did with Peter.
>>154844269Holland literally hasn't aged a day lmao also if they didn't want to use him they should just recast
>>154844269They need to get balls and recast. They used to do it. Roadhog became more black from one movie to another. Banner when from Bana to thin dude to thick dude. The age of Holland has no bearing on if Parker should be replaced as a character.
>>154844672you must be a fucking retard if you think "dreads" counts as ebonics.
>>154844710Still not catching the jive you are laying down.
>>154843916Fuck off Bendis
>>154844643>milesfag calling anyone a spamming faggotPot, kettle, black
>closest thing to an original black superhero they have is Luke Cage >Luke Cage is Luke Cage >Blade continues to sit in the cuckchair unless Ryan Renolds says Wesley gets to be in a movie It took me painfully long to remember marvel has it's cinematic rise and only liked black character right there with Blade. Why even bother with gay shit like blacker black suit spiderman, except all the reasons we know behind why they're willing to take a bath doing so. They could unironically Batman beyond someone into new blade and no one would bat an eye if it was "respectable" to the 1 good and 1 terrible existing movie
>>154844696>they will fuck up MilesThere is no way to not fuck him up, he's a fuckup as a concept, like the internet gas dude
>>154844512Miles fucking sucks mostly because of having the same name and the forced 'I'm not like him, I'm my own man' shit. And he's only got the same name for the express purpose of replacing Peter Parker. Also his powers are all over the place. I liked the first animated movie of his, and I barely recall the second. I avoided the second insomniac game and the DLC because I want to play Spider-Man games. Not black invisible electric ghetto rap child games.
>>154844302Carried by the animation and Peter B Parker. I wouldn’t have watched it if it was just miles.
>>154844785After reading about Snipes anti-White behavior I want to brutalize the character he played. Fuck blade. OVERRATED AS FUCK
>>154843886Yes it's because Feige & others involved are part of that cult. Because again this Peter is just Miles in many ways.
>>154844293Yeah I think people need to get used to recasting in superhero movies, especially ones that are supposed to be interconnected. Is it really any different to comic books changing art styles and character costumes every couple of issues?
>>154844785>BladeWhat's with leftists complaining about people liking Blade. Every time a rightwing person brings up how they want more original characters like Blade, they get scoffed at.Everyone loves Blade because he's cool and not aping another characters identity
>>154844269(Yous) isn’t a word
>>154844808Look up the ending to the movie Jungle Fever and you might have a good kek. I know I did.
>>154844808Bro I understand the sentiment but please don't act like the SU fags who're crying about pearls VA being magaActors are actors playing a part, they shouldn't be forced to hold the values of the character they play
we already know that the racist spider-man movie didn't work.it's Miles from now on, baby.
>>154844302we got a live action spidernoir before a live action miles
>>154844862Yes but did it not work because of racist reasons or because of dumbfuck reasons that current corpo writers are also guilty of?
>That's it. The only way I'm getting into the MCU is by being black. Goblin mode....engage.
>>154844878>but they do the sameyou're pathetic lol.
>>154844902You fail to explain or bother giving any evidence contrary to what I said. Instead you result to insults and apathy. A stereotype I have a feeling you probably don't want to be associated with.
Ok...which of the brothas is the best? What are your ideas regarding miniseries or something else where all 3 work together?
>>154844933there's no reason to bring Ben and Kaine back. they should stay dead.
>>154844893>Green Goblin in the hood movie about cornrows Norman Osborn It'd unironically hit a billy
>>154844957Why? Again, many such cases in this thread where anons waste time by not having any sort of room for discussion. This venting is pretty pathetic.>>154844959Yeeeeuuuuuppp.
>>154844957>>154844933Ben has always been the successor to Peter, not Miles, a ticket for him to ride off into the sunset with preggo MJ. It has been for decades.
>>154844933I'm a Benfag but I like Kaine a lot too.>What are your ideas regarding miniseries or something else where all 3 work together? At this point I'd accept a single storyline where all three actually work together and no one is crazy or evil
>>154844959I kept thinking that the Damage Control nigga in BND would've been a perfect role to introduce Osborn in the MCU. maybe not that actor and maybe not as a black man but his role in the story as a high ranking government stooge and mutie hater lying to spider-man would've been neat.
>>154845008if you like Ben so much then why do you want to stick him with the successor position? Miles doesn't even call himself Peter's successor. Miles IS Spider-Man and Peter is too, albeit begrundingly.
>>154844862Retard lmao
>>154845066Fucking tard lol
>>154845066If he's Spider-Man, why does everyone call him Miles?
>>154845032Norman is still extremely Irish, he just has what looks like cornrows for a big run of the comics which became a meme during the #ourhair nonsense. Green goblin being a menace in Detroit leprechaun 2 style would be Sony pictures first and only hit.
>>154845066Because Ben is both his own thing and also literally Peter. He never really got his due because Marvel editorial were retards.
>>154844933Kaine in Houston was one of my favorite things this century. That said, I love Ben and Peter too. If it was up to me, I would have them all live in different citys and have some family text group chat. Peter stays in New York, put Kane back Texas, give Ben his own city, I would choose Miami. Have all three meet up in Vegas for a vacation, and let them accidentally stumble into some exotic kingpin plot.
USA is obsessed with blacks fellas, specifically the niggers>>154843916>>154843932>>154844167It would make money, but way less. And his reception in general is worse now, because of the whole Shameik scandal. Oh and also those who tried to memory hole the movies after the D4vd shit. Nobody is crying about Miles being absent in Tokon and Rivals
>>154843886I don't understand the point of this. Not just because I don't care about Miles, but because the timing of it just seems weird. Why would he pass the baton so soon, relatively speaking? Unless Holland intends to keep being Spider-Man for another 20 or 30 years, which I doubt.
>>154844302>pretending like all the alternate spidermen weren't the reason people showed up for those
>>154846627No we aren't. Foreign faggots need to stop projecting considering the rate they import Muslims and Indians
>>154844679i mean they just tanked the entirety of the ultimate universe. if pete had remained sales would have still dropped
>>154846692No, YOU are not. Or at least I hope so. Even Americans here accept it. I'm not larping as a based white nsfionalist, my country has many shitty things. Just like your country.Anyhow, comics and cartoons
As someone who grew up with SMTAS and Byrne/Mackie comics and then moved on to Bendis's USM comics and Raimi's movies and then to BND/Big Time comics, I can say with confidence that Miles is a much better Spider-Man than Peter ever was. And I say it as someone who loved Peter Parker's Spidey as my favorite superhero. Peter needs to pass the mantle not just in comics and games but also in movies because Miles is superior to Peter in every way. He has cooler powers, is more inspirational, and is more relatable, especially to the current demographic. Also, the fact that his very existence makes politically concerned incels seethe is good. However, I believe that we'll get two more movies with Tom Holland after BND. In the sixth movie, he'll receive proper treatment and retire accordingly. After that, Miles Morales simply has to become the main character of the MCU.
>>154847025Is the joke that all the comics you've read are dogshit?
>>154843886Except the Tom Holland Spiderman is Miles in every respect other than not being Latino/Black.Is not a high-end genius like Pete, but a smart but not exceptional kid.Went to a Magnet/Lottery School like Miles rather than a regular High School like PeteHas none of the Peter supporting characters like Mary Jane, Gwen, Harry, Flash in recognisable way or at all.Best friend is an obese korean star wars/lego nerd with the name of a adult reporter Pete knows but everything else is identical to Ganke.Junior relationship with the Avengers like Miles rather than being a peer or older than many of them like Pete.Suit given to him by the Avengers/Shield rather than making it himself like MilesCalls people 'sir' rather than mocking them like Miles.Does not have the Parker LuckDoes not have the death of Uncle Ben and the Great Power line. His aunt is Marissa Tomei who's more or less identical to Mile's mother other than skin tone.I've always been convinced they'd started planning Holland's spiderman as an MCU Miles film until Sony accepted the shared licensing deal and they ditched Miles but kept a lot of the original thinking.
>>154843886Ironic, OP. Very ironic from your part.
>>154843886based, spider-cuck deserves it
>>154844595hes not the first spider character with his hair out. its a shitty costume, but thats a bullshit nitpick

>>154847073I don't think you understand what that word means
>>154847084He is the first character for whom that quote was used and intentionally misrepresented to justify his existence as the replacement Spider-Man "Anyone can be Spider-Man" didn't exist as a concept until it was time to shove Miles down everyone's throats
>>154843886whaaaaat? but /co/ trannies that shill for marvel have told me that the Replacement was just a theory ignoring the mountain of evidence like comics, shows, the animated films and the latest sony video gameand they are going to ignore this statement too
>>154847087yes, more interesting that the villains they keep pushing for miles at the very least
>>154843886Yeah bro why doesn’t Tom Holland just forever play an 18 year old? He should be barely legal Peter even in his 60s! FACT!!!!
>>154843886You say that as if this movie Spidey doesn’t share screentime with Jean Grey. That’s more egregious to me than Miles. At least Miles is an actual Spider-Man character and not part of another superhero story.
>>154847930that's justa a different problem with modern SM adaptions, the forever teen stuck in highschool instead of showing him as the grown ass man he was for far longer

>>154844194Only if she can fuck Gwen and or Mei.
>>154847948>instead of showing him as the grown ass man he was for far longerIf you make him an adult you run to the problem that he can’t have any progression whatsoever and the actor ages out even quicker because they are not going to hire a 21 year for adult peter

>>154849234Actually over 900 million. This shit could make a billy over the weekend.
>>154849279Don't forget how the second Insomniac game was a financial failure compared to its ridiculous budget and had all of its DLC and spinoffs cancelled because they let people obsessed with Miles make the game

>>154843916It might do "okay", but nowhere near as much as Peter Parker Spider Man.
>>154844269Retard, you think we're all as braindead as you are? They've been pushing this for YEARS. Peter dies in the Spiderverse film and Miles replaces him. Peter is being set up to retire/die in Insomniac Spiderman so that Miles replaces him. Now this shit is just the same but on large scale after they figured out with Spiderverse that you can successfully replace Peter if you distract the fans with wacky bullshitThe final goal isn't to have Holland retire, it's to permanently change the public image of Spiderman to Miles. To make Spiderman black permanently and claim that bringing Peter back would be RACCCCIISSSS. Since Spiderman is the second most popular superhero after Batman, it'd be a massive cultural shift being pushed by the left.We aren't going to stand around and let it happen, fag.
>>154849545>Since Spiderman is the second most popular superhero after BatmanDCucks are retarded. Spidey BTFOs Batman in popularity.
>>154844463Spiderverse didn't win or become popular because of Miles, it became popular in spite of him. Miles is the least popular character in that film franchise. That's the thing. Miles in any other era would have been dumped because everything he's in is a FAILURE. His fanbase consist of three dumb niggers who feel insecure about Peter. He's less popular than HUNDREDS of other Spiderman characters. But the writers hate Peter and want to replace him, that's the final goal.
>>154849234not really, what else was there to compete? Workd Cup is over, Toy Story 5 has been out for weeks, Minions was a dissapointment
>>154849599The Odyssey
Reminder that Peni managed to completely organically mog Miles in terms of audience reaction despite receiving a mere fraction of a fraction of the push he's been getting since his creation.Cute girl in a mecha created by the MCR singer as an NGE reference >>>>>> racecuck fetish character created by a dysgenic black-worshipping jewThe greatest irony of all, is that her kawaii animu bullshit wasn't even part of her original personality. It was made up for Spiderverse as a cheap shallow anime reference just so she can be another face in the group of alternate spiders put in the movie to uplift Miles. And yet, she ended up eclipsing Miles completely. In their hubris, the subversives were hoisted by their own petard. It's like poetry, it rhymes.

What did the post credits scene mean?
Miles can't be in the MCU because they basically used all his shit for Peter which is funny looking back on it
Never forget.
>>154847065His villains are also hand-me-downs, in this case from Stark and the other Spider Men.
>>154850442I love how niggers have genuinely bought into the MUH DIIIIK propaganda only to get slammed in the fucking face when no woman not even their women likes them even when being a famous voice actor and rich. Then they seethe like the apes they are

>>154843886It's not cult behavior, it's practical behavior. Tom Holland has been doing this for ten years. He's been playing Peter as a meek teenager/young adult but he can't do that forever. He's over thirty now. Tom's going to move on soon and it would be stupid of them to reboot the franchise yet again, so the only solution is to bring in Miles.

Just got out of the theaterThis movie was written by AI, it's 2 hours of exposition dumping and flashbacks with 3 minutes of action (all of which is seen in the trailers) weaved inMy favorite part is when the computer says his senses are heightened, then it shows him in discomfort as the sound gets loud and camera shaky, he holds his head saying he has a headache, then the computer starts going alert alert senses too high. Because you know we couldn't see that for ourselvesThe whole movie is like that, a thing happens and then they explain it. Frankly I did not like this film at all
>>154850991Or Bailey, Or Ben, Or Gwen, or Silk, or Superior or... literally any other Spider.

>>154852204No one suggesting those characters wants them to replace Spider-Man, it's simply to point out the absurdity and hypocrisy of Miles genuinely getting a decade long billion dollar push to replace Peter whereas no one would even dream of suggesting any of the other characters for that role
>>154852204the replacement is bad period but yeah, those options are beter simply because milws is boring and has nothing to do with peter, he has a non existant relationship/friendship with peter
>>154852005>you just like them because it isnt a black boy.i don't like Miles because he's boring corporate slopthere is nothing unique about him nor does he have anything to sayhe is a culmination of DEI marketing and an actual industry plant geared towards making the safest most bland protagonist possible but he's black so if anyone criticizes his inclusion they're automatically deemed racist and not the fact that he's just a very boring characterup until BND/OMD Peter had a very distinct personality of being hotheaded, short tempered, neurotic, paranoid and whole host of other issues until Marvel decided to beat him into the wholesome chungus 15yr old he's written as now which is exactly what Miles is making the character redundant
>>154852213>i mean they have more chemistry and story with peter than miles so... yeah, they are the better optiondamn, this is delusion. >>154852227then they would stand on not wanting pete replaced in general, not usher up just as shit options>>154852236theyre all boring though, thats the thing, >>154852249i don't like Miles because he's boring corporate slopall characters are corporate slop. what are you even saying?
>>154844831>What's with leftists complaining about people liking Bladethis sounds like something you made up.
>>154852282>damn, this is delusion.what chemistry does miles have with peter that isn't the barebones mentor one?
>>154844194So Spider-Girl=Supergirl basically?
>>154852282>theyre all boring thoughthey are but they are also less boring than miles
>>154844228>Eventually he's gonna age out, they want that back door built in.That's why you reboot or recast. Like they've already done and still they make billions.
Here's a fucked up solution: use Miguel.>but he's from the futureSince when does the MCU care about being comic accurate? Just mash up his backstory with Ben, Kaine, and Bailey's backstories, and you have a Frankenstein'd character you can deploy as needed. Here's your stupid-ass story:>someone (Alchemax?) wants their own Spider-Man>they harvest Peter's cells and try to create clones of him by cultivating them and putting them in people, Metal Gear style>pretty much all subjects don't survive the experiments, save for one kid (Miguel)>he turns into Man-Spider and escapes the lab>lives on the streets until being adopted by a priest and taking his last name (O'Hara)>kid grows up idolizing Spider-Man, wants to be a hero as well>he can't control his powers, still turning into Man-Spider and terrorizing people>Peter is forced to deal with him, doesn't know the monster he's fighting is actually a kid>blah blah, fast-forward, Peter finds out the truth and figures out a way to stabilize his DNA>by the movie's third act (just assume the actual antagonist is front and center at this point) Miguel is presented with a solution that will make him normal again>he rejects it, and suits up in order to help Peter defeat the bad guy (enter Scarlet Spider)>The End (Miguel O'Hara will return in Avengers: Tongue My Anus)There's your diverse replacement, you stupid fucking morons. Is it retarded? Yes. Is it an insult to Miguel's character? No more than Spiderverse was. But it's also a legacy character that can hang around with his own name until he's needed to carry the Spider-Man name.Fuck you.
>>154850976You're saying it is nonsensical when that image I posted, displayed everything uninteresting about Miles and provided reasoning as to why. Miguel's cast at least is part of the cyberpunk setting and had higher potential. They saw a grander character arc that Miguel went on, finding out who he himself is and becoming the head of a corporation/leading a cult. Yes perhaps it is a bit shallow. But he only had like 50 issues and still mogged Miles.
>>154852355none of those chracters have chemistry with pete. none of them. the only character thats spider related that has chemistry with him is flash and it seems like theyre playing hot potato with symbiotes with him instead of locking some shit down>>154852375>but they are also less boring than milesin what way? its not like people are asking for silk comics or care about what bailey is up to
>>154852411>Redditspacing nigga here, I'm gonna just feign stupidity and not providw issues/pages that show why Miles is not these things. I'm just gonna allude to vague ideas like chemistry.FTFY.
>>154850560>His villains are also hand-me-downs, in this case from Stark and the other Spider Men.I don't think rewriting the villains to be about Iron Man counts like that, it's not like Mysterio or Vulture were Iron Man villains that Peter had to borrow to be popular like anything and everything Miles does. His most successful movie so far was also the one with purely Spider-Man connected vilians.
>>154852401>but he's from the future>Since when does the MCU care about being comic accurate? This made me realize why we haven't gotten Batman Beyond yet. Because he's in the future and they think that wouldn't be appealing enough. And it sucks because Terry's a Batman/Spider-Man hybrid so you'd think a character like that can make billions or close. But he happens to be in the future so it's all bunk.
>>154850579Anon, most of the people ripping on Shameik are black.
>>154852411>none of those chracters have chemistry with petebut they do, very small chemistry is already more than what he has with miles

When do we get a real Spiderman movie?
>>15485241050 issues in 30 plus years isnt much to gloat about. especially because hes only getting exposition because a fat idiot opened up the concept of a spider verse. miggy is a favorite of mine as well, but im not out here pretending that hes this fantastic written character. hes fun as hell with an interesting power set different from other spiders by far. my issue with most of this is that when it comes to miles people become stounch haters of things they accept in other characters because of the fear that miles will replace pete for some reason. thats not an issue with migs like it isnt an issue with mayday because neither one of them wants to exist in the 616

>>154852700Wouldn't take it seriously. Same guy that said if he's still Spider-Man by 30 then he's done something wrong in his life. It's just something for the press tour to drive media buzz.
>>154852597>fear that miles will replace pete for some reasonyeah right "for some reason" let's forget that it already happened
>>154852645Yes but another Peter.
>>154852756There is no "another Peter", he was created to replace any Peter just like he's been doing over the last 15 years
>>154843916It would, but nowhere near as much as another Peter movie. Chinese people don't like browns, and that's the second biggest market. Even in the west, Miles just doesn't have anywhere NEAR Peter's popularity and pull. He never will. They're trying their best to make him the new and only Spidey going forward, because whites can not have their own culture, but it's not going to work.
>>154844269>Holland is getting old?Because he isn't? He turned 30 two months ago. He's getting too old to play a 22 year old Spider-Man, yes, but why do we think Spider-Man has to be forever in his 20s?
>>154853175>but why do we think Spider-Man has to be forever in his 20s?Because Marvel does
Guys post your favorite Miles Morales moments and villains from the comics you can’t wait to see get adapted.
I'll accept Miles if they don't kill off Peter. Just give a good reason why Peter can't be Spider-Man anymore, like he loses a leg or something fighting one of his enemies. Death is too obvious and cheap and Tom's Spidey has already died once.
>>154853586As someone who doesn't hate Miles but still thinks he's a redundant character, I liked when he killed his uncle. I think it's lame that later adaptations either keep him alive and reform him offscreen, or have his death not be Miles' fault like in the movies. Let the kid kill his uncle.
>>154853712They gave a reason for him not to be Spider-Man: Taking a break after fighting Venom. Keep in mind, I didn't say it was a GOOD reason, just A reason
>>154853712>don't kill peter >humilliate him by crippling him forever and have him be a sad faggot without M(utt)Jgreat idea faggot
>>154852597>50 issues in 30 years isn't much to gloat aboutNotice how in my post I said "only," acknowledging the fact it is a small number of issues across that time span. I am emphasizing the quality, not quantity. Most of that is due to editorial being apathetic faggots who hate the 90's. But notice how he still has fervent fans compared to Miles needing heavy promotion by Marvel the whole way while Miguel showing up in a butchered lame ass form in ATSV still mogged lil nigga.>miles replacement is unfoundedYeah ok. Take a look at his origin most of the time having Peter be literally replaced by him in a /pol/-esque great replacement type of way where it is ludicrously corny, the emphasis editorial places on trying to fleece blacks (the new demographic that likes comics ever since it became widely socially acceptable to have nerdy hobbies, causing companies to salivate), and the fact that they are writing everything around Miles to be safe and boring.
>>154851746Look at all of the absolute fucking garbage that can't even carry a miniseries.
>>154844346Yeah but the epic final show down takes place in the shitty palette swapped Ben Reilly pyjamas. We've had a glut of high school Peter over the last 15 years, it's just refreshing to have a grown up Peter and a dead aunt May.
>>154844302Fun fact, if Into the Spider-verse had a similar budget to a regular Spider-Man movie, it would've been such a catastrophic flop they'd end that particular universe. We know it would. It happened. With a movie that made MORE money.
>>154852005then introduce spider boy, and then put hulkette to replace banner
>>154854157Miles has flopped harder than all of them. He couldn't carry his own fucking game.

>>154854582LOLNo he hasn't you faggot.Every single character you listed at best had a miniseries that sold like shit. The others are fucking garbage no one cares about. Maybe spidergwen, but they can put basically any teen spider girl in that costume and make it work.
>>154854761>No he hasn't you faggotbut he has, he is pushed so much and keeps flopping
>>154853586I read a comics where Peter was transported into the ultimate verse and discovered this Peter died, fury his black and miles is the new spider man. after coming back, it's trying to research miles Morales and is shocked by what he sees. always though he fell on the Louisiana parole board.
>>154843916Miles is just a boring replacement for Parker and every single representation he gets just treats him as if he's god's gift to the world. That isn't interesting. If they do the Miles thing, they had better write it good enough.
>>154852597mayday doesn't replace Peter, she is spider girl. aka her own thing after her father retirement. same for Miguel.
It's funny how so many people adamantly insist he doesn't replace Peter yet Spider-Man is one of the only characters that gets "when are they going to hurry it up and kill him off so the Poochie can come in" discussion, this shit literally never happened with Spider-Man before
>>154852501People like Bendis show why we shouldn't have shut down the asylums. This is not normal.

>>154855342>>154855408how come the preschool show can do it
>>154843916He doesn't even have his own gallery of villains to carry a movie, unless they want to hijack more Peter villains like the leeches they are.
He passes the torch. Miles movie comes out. It underperforms. Next movie brings back Peter, or they hard pivot to "multiverse" Spider-Men, and don't make Miles the sole important one.
Miles sucks ass. The only successful Miles is the Spiderverse. His games, comics, etc all suck. And even in Spiderverse he's a cardboard character.
>>154857016 End the only reason spider verse was successful was his dynamic bouncing off of the mentor Peter Parker
Hey how come Miles' web shooter isn't bigger than Peter's? Where is the BBW (Big Black Webshooter)?
I ship MCU Spidey with MCU Jean Grey now
>>154844368Why would they? Spider-Man is Peter Parker.
>>154849576I would say Spider-man is more versatile as an IP, which gives the impression he's more popular but I don't the difference is so big.
>>154844227That's always been the biggest horseshitBendis made Miles because Donald Glover wanted to be Spider-Man and he was trying to sneak in a version he could claim royalties onHe did the same thing with Guardians of the Galaxy not that long after
>>154844194wtf I’m not racist anymore
>Keep pumping more shit even if we have to kill peter and put in other shitty spider people like gwen (Fuck that i hate her) Miles (Barely anything to him, gets carried in his own animated films by the other characters) Just fucking let Peter (Tom) retire normally and work on the other fucking heroes? If you need more live action slop of spider-man just pour more money into that ben reilly (Nicholas Cage) one since that was pretty alright.
>Has Ninjas>Has a Talk No Jutsu scene between Peter and JeanThe Director was just practicing for the Naruto Movie.
>>154857294Yeah there's that but right around then was the culture starting to shift so laying claim to getting the first black spider-man out the door meant you now had a forever-in for all aspects of Marvel basically or at least a steady stream of checks. Clearly a student of Avi Arad.
>>154850991Okay, but why can't they do this with the X-Men actors?
>>154855945because kids are smart and they tend to ask a lot of questions, logical ones at that, so when they see spider-man with his iconic red and blue colors they know that's the hero they love, but if they see this other guy with a similar suit and the same name they will ask "why is he called spider-man too when spider-man (red and blue) is already there? why isn't he called something else?" logically what do you do to avoid this? you give miles an actual hero name to differentiate himso yes, kids have more common sense than marvel execs and some adult fans even
I liked a good 90% of the film but good god I'm not a fan of Peter getting saved by the sole implication that him and Hulk ever knew each other in this universeAlso Frank getting him to any hospital at all despite being a full mile away from the location when he shot him still feels like a plot contrivance even if it was waved off as "Jean keeping him alive"
>>154843916>A Miles movie would make money, even if you don't like himYou're right. Millennials still think the movie box office still caters to them. Zoomers and Gen Assholes are the main demographic now.
>>154857720 I'm just not exactly sure where they ever established that relationship
>>154857752Yeah that's my problem, there's quite literally 0 instances throughout all of Spider-Man's appearances in the MCU where Banner could've gotten to know him personally, he could only know of his identity through the Mysterio debacle but that's about it, that namedrop had no reason to be THE thing to calm Savage Hulk down like that
>>154844269Have you heard of James Bond?
>>154844368That's because he's Spider-Man
>>154844562That is the movie winning an Oscar LMAO
>>154844579I'd like to have a movie and Peter Parker and Mary Jane Watson are in love
>>154844624This is all the better when you remember Ben exists
>>154843886comic book nerds, may i ask.. is jean grey this evil in the comics?
Okay. What is the plan after Miles replaces Peter? Whose he going to fight? What's his cast going to be?
>>154844696The one silver lining is that it isn't up to Feige or Marvel, Sony owns Spider-Man and is the MCU movies continue to bomb they have no reason to listen to them. Sure, they might do it, but so far it's Marvel saying they want to Captain Falcon Spider-Man when not too long ago Sony was threatening to pull out of the MCU and reboot with a whole new Peter actor. Heck, the whole reason they did Spiderverse was just to get people used to the idea that there are "multiple versions of Spider-Man" after they saw the trap Marvel was trying to leave for them by making Holland so tied to the MCU so they could just move him to a new dimension if need be. That's why the made the Spider-Noir show and were going to have Raimi mane Spider-Man 4 before Marvel offered him a billion dollars to do Doctor Strange instead to block it. If Sony had it's way they would have a Maguire franchise, Garfield franchise, Holland franchise, and probably a fourth one all running simultaneously. The only reason they don't is because marketing thinks it would confuse the normie audience, but that's what that want to do since it's their only property that makes money, and honestly? I'm all for it.
>>154844831Because he's a cool straight masculine character. They want to socially engineer people and commit genocide
>>154857796I mean its possible the spell had no effect on the hulk as he was being repressed at the time
>>154857982>Okay. What is the plan after Miles replaces Peter? Whose he going to fight? They're going to introduce the Osbornes with Miles huh?
>>154844862They tried to prove this with Falcon and Winter Soldier and it blew up in their faces when the racist White Captain America became the most popular character
>>154844959Please no, they would end up turning Norman into an insufferable antihero knockoff of Black Panther

>>154843916Lmao
>>154858318>Miles will sell worse than Peter.I think you're out of touch. Miles is extremely popular with Gen A and Z. Those Spider-Verse movies were very successful. I don't care about Miles myself though
>>154858004Yeah but the problem is that they never crossed paths outside of the final battle in endgame, and even then they didn't even say a word to one-another at that time, Hulk shouldn't calm down at the mention of Peter Parker cause they're, by definition, not friends in the MCU
>>154858347>Miles is extremely popular with Gen A and Z.They sure as hell don't vote with their wallets then. His comics don't chart, his movies performed worse than the Andrew Garfield movies, and his game flopped so hard they canceled the DLC and the multiplayer expansion for it.
>>154858347I don't think Miles is that vital to the appeal of Spider-Verse for most people, honestly.
>>154858347Miles loses a lot of his appeal when you place him next to other Spider-Men and you see just how little he has going on

>>154852401> diverseWon't work. They're not aiming for diversity. If they cared about diversity they wouldn't actively only ever call Miles Black. Given he was raised by his Latina mom, he's at least as much a Latino as an African American kid.
>>154858550Comics and movies are 2 separate things. Comic book sales do not fucking matter.
>>154853586I giggled that his clone was called seliM. I guess laughing at a terrible joke is the best Miles moment I've had?
>>154854157OK, then we do Spider-Girl. Who destroys Miles in popularity and gives diversity as a black woman in MCU assuming she's Pete and MJs daugter.
>>154858419>>154858625Missing the forest for the trees. Where are all the stories to mine from and the shit that hack hollywood writers need to steal from? Oh right comics are all hack failed TV writers now who can't supply what Hollywood needs anymore so now Miles has nothing but hacks for him to be written by. So yeah either way the comics or the movies are screwed and poochie has nothing. Comic sales don't matter. But what then is Miles going to do when you get shit like ATSV? >deluluYeah tell me when a story starring Miles and Miles only with no Peter-associated ideas/characters/gadgets/icons/paraphenalia are present. You'd get a black kid in a hoodie who has spider powers, invisibility and electric powers for some reason (pssst...he's black), and has some boring SoL shit that doesn't differentiate itself from any other piece of fiction.
>>154858661>Where are all the stories to mine fromThey get stories that are good and popular amongst readers. But sales still do not matter my friend. You need to cum back to reality. Look, I don't like Miles he's just Spider-Man but black, nothing diverse about him in the slightest. And I agree with everything else you said by the way. >>154858654Like the other anon said it would be cool if they adapted Spider-Girl, or hell even the clone saga but adapt the Ultimate version where the clone is the girl or something.
>No Spider-Man origin>Uncle Ben doesn't exist>no Gwen>no actual Mary Jane>Flash Thompson is an Indian nerd>no Osborns>Most of his villains are actually Tony Stark villains>Ultimately going to be replaced by Miles before Peter is 30This may actually be the worst adaptation of Spider-Man in history
>>154858757The Uncle Ben thing gets worse. Although Civil War originally implied Ben gave Peter THE speech, the third Holland movie basically overwrote that and comments from the Russo bros suggest that Marvel Studios' position on Ben is that not only did he NOT give the speech to Peter, but Peter might not have had anything to do with him dying.
>>154858347Dude, we have the ticket sales from Spider Verse 2. Miles is more popular with white and hispanic zoomers with black zoomers actually being in third place. And even then, Peter and Venom completely dwarf Miles in popularity. Pay attention to the global marketing for both Spider-Verse movies: the posters emphasize Peter over Miles!
>>154858287I'm guessing as MCU Ned is morbidly obese we're not going to have the "who is the hobgoblin" mystery we got in the comics as he comes in, glider struggling to stay airborn....

The Insomniac leaks show that the Spider-Man 2 DLC was cancelled because it wasn't selling as well as the first one. >>154858867>Dude, we have the ticket sales from Spider Verse 2.Yeah, 2022 when people were still phobic going into public places>And even then, Peter and Venom completely dwarf Miles in popularity. No shit, they're the OG Spider-Man characters. Obviously.>Pay attention to the global marketing for both Spider-Verse movies: the posters emphasize Peter over Miles! No shit. Always using the OG help promote a movie is ideal.
>>154858911>>154858932LOL! Before No Way Home, the actor lost a bunch of weight and gained it again. I'm assuming Marvel had plans to introduce Hobgoblin early. At this point they either scrapped it or he's planned in the last film in the second trilogy before passing the torch to miles.. Or personally, I think Disney is going to get on their knees and beg Tom Holland to do another trilogy of films.
>>154861414>>Dude, we have the ticket sales from Spider Verse 2.>Yeah, 2022 when people were still phobic going into public placesNo Way Home made almost 2 billion just the year before. People weren't afraid of anything, Miles just isn't as popular as Peter, mate.
>>154861174Covid>>154861434People were willing to go public to see that film for the OG Spider-Men>Miles just isn't as popular as Peter, mate.My arugment isn't about who's more popular. All I'm saying is he's popular enough to make barely a billion at the box office. My argument isn't Miles being popular more than Peter at all. I agree with you that OG Spider-Man is more popular. All I'm saying is Miles is popular enough to bring in movie tickets and can probably make a billion.
>>154861482You’re blaming the Rona for why people weren’t playing his game when they had nothing but free time? Quit coping. People don’t like Miles. His comics sold like shit, his game sold like shit, and his movies sold like shit. He’s not popular, and he never will be.
>>154861482Across the Spider-Verse was the peak of Miles hype and it couldn't outgross Spider-Man movies that came out a decade before. I'll be generous and concede that Miles could POSSIBLY make a billion. But if he did, he'd be pulling in only half of what Tom Holland's Spider-Man is pulling. You think Sony and Disney would accept that kind of drop off in success for the sake of diversity? After what happened with Sam Wilson and all the other legacy characters they tried? They're running a business, not a charity. There is no business sense in retiring a character that makes so much bank for a character that brings in so much less. It's Spider-Man, anon. A modest success for live action may as well be a failure.
>>154861531>You’re blaming the Rona for why people weren’t playing his gameSpider-Verse 2.> His comics sold like shit,Comic books sell like shit lil bro.>and his movies sold like shit.$690 million worldwide against a $100 million production budget.for Spider-Verse 2. If It makes 3x the amount of their budget, it's a Hollywood success. As long as that happens sequels will always be on the table.
>>154861547>You think Sony and Disney would accept that kind of drop off in success for the sake of diversity? No. This is why I think Disney is BEGGING for Tom Holland to do another trilogy. Everyone keeps making this argument that I'm trying to argue that Miles would outperform OG Spider-Man.. I'm not saying that. He might not make big numbers like him but I think it's a good enough to make them a profit, and Disney is probably willing to gamble on Miles if Tom tells Disney to fuck off and become a real actor.
>>154861547A modest success IS a failure. Spider-Man is the most popular superhero in the entire world next to Batman. If a Spider-Man movie isn’t a smashing success, then something is terribly wrong.
>>154861563Less than TASM2, even without factoring in inflation. Put the copium down, and stop making up excuses.
>>154844215I'm not racist when I'm horny
>>154861619>Less than TASM2,It doesn't even matter. If they make 3x the amount from their budget it's a success. And it's by what, a little 100+ million?
>>154861482>>154861531Miles game come out as a PS5 launch title. Supposedly the limited availability of the PS5 affected the initial sales, but contributed to the longer tail over time.https://gamesbeat.com/marvels-spider-man-miles-morales-sales-performance-is-great-for-ps5-owners/
>>154861642How does it not matter? If you can’t pull in more people to the theaters than the worst Spider-Man movie of all time, then it’s a failure. You’re refusing to accept the fact that a movie about the most popular superhero in the world should have performed better than "just okay", especially when NWH knocked it out of the park. Quit making excuses for mediocrity.
>>154858202It's not racism when it's done by the chosen people.
>>154861482>All I'm saying is Miles is popular enough to bring in movie tickets and can probably make a billion.miles isn't popular, the spider-man brand is, sony could shit out an animated movie about jeet spider-man and it would make a profit
>>154861668You’re ignoring the fact that it was available for PS5 AND PS4, and only made a fraction of what the first game made.
>>154861686>Spider-Verse 1>Production Budget: $90 million >Global box office sales: $384 million globally>Spider-Verse 2>Production budget: $125 million>Global box office sales: $690.8 million Ok lil bro
>>154858271All black men are gay and homophobic. It’s deeply entrenched in their raped faggot slave DNA.
>>154861720I told you to stop making excuses, and you’re still ignoring the fact that SV2 performed badly in comparison to every other live action Spider-Man movie. Why? Because people don’t like Miles, and don’t care about his media.
>>154861756>I told you to stop making excuses,Are you going to ignore box office patterns?>and you’re still ignoring the fact that SV2 performed badly in comparison to every other live action Spider-Man movie.I've already acknowledged it. Obviously, OG Spider-Man will always outperform. But for a Non Spider-Man branded Spider-Man character, it's still really good. Those box office numbers will reach the billion for that third and last film, deadass.
>>154861777Keep yapping.
>>154844194this would be based because it would piss off everyone
>>154862248wait I didn't notice t hat's parker next to her I thought she's supposed to be the only spider-man
>>154849710reminder that spider gwen is more popular with miles Morales

>>154857752>>154857796because banner isn't a fucking retard and could understand and remember a guy who asked about the very specific mutation device being used on him when trying to pug an equally specific device onto him. it's kinda the batman effect : that guy wouldn't last 4 days if a bunch of FBI guys decided to launch an investigation on him
>>154862275>>154862421than Miles Morales*sorry
>>154861642It's only a success for Sony, the character is still not nearly as popular, the movie would've probably made 2x with Peter as the protagonist
>>154862493>banner isn't a fucking retard and could understand and remember a guy who asked about the very specific mutation device being used on himExcept Peter presented himself with another name when that happened so he should've brought that up to Hulk instead of his actual identity.
>Tom doing 2B alone with no Tobey and Andrew to back him up Wild, he is actually a draw
>>154865563People keep parroting this like they're fucking editorial. Tell me in what ways is Tom above average in charisma?Or is it simply the IP carrying the actor, the creators, and the company?
>>154865563He’s been MCU’s Spider-Man for a decade, there are kids today who have grown up entirely on Tom Holland. Like it or not, he’s an entire generation’s definitive Spider-Man.
>>154865694Women are really invested into Tomdaya
>>154846692>>154851008
>>154865694The IP alone didn’t carry Garfield. It’s helping but Holland IS Spider-man as far as a lot of people are concerned
>>154866217ASM 2 made slightly less than the first one because it just wasn't a good movie.
>>154865795Key word there? Women. They like chungus Spider-Man. And they like his body. Not much more than that.>>154866217That still doesn't answer my question. What contributes to his charisma? What is the inherent part of it? You gave me someone who did not do as well but you still didn't anything of substance as to why Holland is the draw specifically.
>>154858654Superhero females are not as interesting as males, especially same brand heroines who copy the og. Look at Supergirl

>>154867596Yes people are cattle lmao
>>154844561Why didnt Jean make him gay?
>>154861190>Marvel's been trying to push Blade over Miles as the main black hero post-BPWell they're certainly doing a great job there
>>154843886Why does the anti-Miles crowd pretend that we live in a world where the average consumer despises the idea of a second Spider-Man and doesn't think that his electric powers are cool? If you only used /co/ or /tv/ as your source you'd think that the Spiderverse movies were massive commercial failures and that the Sony games were massive flops. Hell, one of the several criticisms of the sony Spier-Man 2 game was that Peter and Miles weren't portrayed as the dynamic duo that people were eager to see. The narrative that Miles is largely unpopular just doesn't work in a post Spiderverse world.
Did you know there's a rumor going around of a previous cut of the movie test audiences HATED and they had to change? Allegedly the original cut>Had a completely different villain mind hopping/controlling people, it was The Jackal.>Jackal was framing Jean Grey>Peter actually fucking died at the end of the movie when Frank shot him
>>154868173Why are you pretending the Spider-Verse movies aren't carried hard by all the other Spider-Men and gimmicky animation and that the game Miles isn't a mockery that made the second game flop so hard all DLC and spinoffs got cancelled
>>154868230>Why are you pretending the Spider-Verse movies aren't carried hard by all the other Spider-MenBecause I'm not picking and choosing pieces of the films and ignoring the rest the back up a false narrative. Pretending that consumers had zero investment in Miles is ridiculous and you know it. >game Miles isn't a mockery that made the second game flop so hard all DLC and spinoffs got cancelledSure, people totally didn't take issue with the bungled Venom/Harry plot, the double down on the shitty MJ sections, the rushed story, the technical issues/bugs, the mediocre suit selection, or the simplified combat. It's not like Miles being largely ignored by the main plot and relegated to community outreach programs was a criticism levied against Insomniac or anything. Nope, it was Miles that didn't let them reach Sony's unreasonable sales expectations during a year where owning a PS5 was still seen as unnecessary.
>>154868189AFAIK, the only confirmed scenes cut were that of Claire Temple from the Daredevil TV show. Holland was very upset about it for some reason.
>>154868422I know contracts and clutter and and all that, but it's so fucking weird that Daredevil isn't in this>Former mayor Fisk and his anti-vigilante campaign>Matt Murdock was Peter's lawyer in NWH>Frank is in the movie, which we've seen his previous attitude towards costumed heroes>There's a prison, and Matt isn't there>The fucking Hand is in the movie
>>154868173>where the average consumer despises the idea of a second Spider-ManBecause history has proven that the average consumer despises the idea of a second Spider-Man.
>>154868395I see what you're saying but unfortunately there's the issue that his solo game also flopped financially, which is further evidence that Miles is not a seller.

>>154844420It's not fair to compare since there's never been an animated Peter Parker Spiderman movie or a live action Miles Morales one. General audiences prefer live action movies over animated ones outside of Pixar stuff. That said, Beyond the Spiderverse made almost as much as the lowest grossing Peter movie, Amazing SM 2.
>>154870474>General audiences prefer live action movies over animated ones outside of Pixar stuff. This is cope in a world where Moana 2 can make a billion without breaking a sweat
>>154868422Isn't there's footage of MJ examining the key to the city in one of the trailer. They definitely cut some romantic melodrama unless they filmed stuff for the trailers.
Who was the Spider-man again?
