So without RCO, most people will simply forget about comics entirely since even if they know where to download them, it's simply not worth the bother. Downloading a file is hard work, it takes like, several seconds.

Man, if RCO is actually dead for real this time, then tens of thousands of comics will be lost forever. It was the last refuge for so many good comics that can't be found anywhere else online anymore. Many of those scans were from forums and websites that have been dead for 10+ years and have never been archived anywhere else. It's quite literally a disaster of the same magnitude as the destruction of the Library of Alexandria, if not worse. And it's not just old American comics from the Golden, Silver, and Bronze Ages, it's also unique scanlations of European comics and BDs that amateur teams translated 15 or 20 years ago. All of these uploads can't be found anywhere else anymore.
