Why it isn't popular like Bojack Horseman?

Part of why Bojack works is most people can see themselves as one of the members of the main cast, usually Bojack or Diane. For those that don't PB, PC, and Todd's antics are enough of fun B-plots to keep interest.LSS is much harder because the experience it is relating is more narrow, the wackiness invades the main cast instead of the side characters, and it also isn't up very front about the fact that it is a frame tale. It just lets you know it is being told in a meandering out of order way.The "long story short" is only revealed at the end to be the explanation of the "Is a schmuck not entitled?" family joke. The story ends with Hannah feeling more connected to her family and Avi finally being able to grieve his mother. There is a kind of imbalance there where Yoshi gets placed into this weird wacky Todd-zone despite being one of the three kids and the lesbians and dad don't have any growth.

>>154849354It's a good series but its themes are too niche and it doesn't have any quality to sprout a fandom so it is what it is.Bojack had the furry factor at play but also the first seasons are more lighthearted which works to atttract more people as some kind of bait and switch when latter seasons start to add more introspective stuff.Long Story Short it's more "artsy" with a non-linear narrative from episode one, in general the series doesn't lend itself for any kind of fandom behavior and as many anons have said the jewish elements are less charismatic in general and have a veeery bad timing as right now.The only hope for the series is the arthouse viewer which actually seems they really liked the series because IIRC Netflix approved a second season so whatever metric they had it was fullfilled.
