No, the fact a movie as horrible as Gunnman got that much is indicative Superman is still popular. He is, however, in the exact same death spiral as Spider-Man where audiences are only putting up with him from memories of two decade and older movies, not knowing how raped the character has become. That spell will break eventually, given enough of these movies.

>>154849388No, someone it's going to take the first spot regardless of the idea of the Big Three. And that's has been Spiderman since probably the 90s. Superman has always been more culturally iconic, most people know what you mean by "Superman", most people use Kryptonite as if it was something that existed before it, and most understand the tropes, but his stories? Not so much, that's why he has always been more culturally present yet never a ticket seller. Batman is really fucking popular, but he has been ping ponged into a lot of different takes, and this recent one is good but not great with most audiences, even if it's closer to the character. Spiderman is just overall great with everyone, he's "relatable", he has the autistic colors, he has stories most people know of, always rising actors playing him, and overall high hopes for the sequel or next part. Marvel can go and fuck him over in the comics for the last 15 years, and despite all that, people complains are still too much of a minority for them to do something.
