Especially Miguel, people identify with Miguel but I'm not a fan of Miguel being used as this deranged strawman representing Miles haters. No sequel is out yet because they wrote themselves into a corner and there's no getting out of it.
Because they were more obsessed with retarded virtue signaling, like making Gwen trans and showing a black pregnant Spider-Woman in her fifth trimester, than developing an actual story. “Spider-mans from across the multiverse all agree that some people just need to die” is so far removed from what the character is about that it’s not only not a story, it’s negative story. Which is also a really weird route to go when you set up The Spot as your villain and then abandon him for half the movie to pursue the non-story. And apparently they had no idea how to wrap that shit up, since it’s taken them so long to to do the follow-up.

The second is an original script and was a cliff hanger ending with little catharsis or character growth. All of those things are problems that a good writer would try to solve but either they didn't care or didn't have enough time to rewrite.

Remember how he turned out to be a criminal, a super villain, and most likely a murderer who was trying to kill a clearly underaged target throughout the first film? Remember how he only didn't kill Miles because he saw his face and then was immediately killed by his crime lord boss? Remember how the film ends with a beautiful memorial for him like he was some kind of martyr or saint? Do you think Miles ever thought about all the people his uncle probably hurt and killed?
