I hate Marvel Studios AND James Gunn, but even IF the film wasn't a shitshow out of the starting gate there wasn't even a snowball's chance in Hell it would compete with THE superhero that is beloved internationally--nips love Spider-Man-san, britbongs love Wally-Crawlers, he is THE most popular superhero in the states alongside Batman and Superman--speaking of which, Ted Lasso confirmed UNDER OATH that Superman did NOT earn its money back and thus was rushed to streaming to recoup production costs when Netflix was trying to buy WBD so what chance did this spin-off realistically have if her vastly more popular cousin couldn't even be massively profitable last year?.
