Why did these stop being a thing? (Aside from Tumblr getting increasingly enshittified) I still miss when there was hundreds of them for every fandom and AU.What were your favorites?
>>154858508They banned porn in tumblr.
>>154858508it just never really made the transition to twitter, possibly due to twitter being a hellscape not worth the effort
>>154858529There's plenty of SFW askblogs.>>154858560It's a shame. I guess Tumblr was the only place you could do an askblogs, it's not like you could do an askblog on 4chan.
>>154858576>it's not like you could do an askblog on 4chan.You kinda sorta maybe can on /i/? I'd say it's worth an attempt.
>>154858508They're still a thing on tumblr and deviantart among other places. I know Las Lindas does them as well.
>>154858508the children that did them grew up and got jobs, and the new children are on tiktok
I don't get why Tumblr had to ban porn art. Just ban IRL porn. And why did Twitter never have an issue with app stores and porn on their app.
>>154858508running an askblog is a lot of work for really little gain. autists are constantly throwing bitchfits at your story choices, retards are spamming asks at you that you dont want to answer. its shit
>>154858508I'm gonna go ahead and say it was a sudden realization of how embarrassing it was.
>>154859346Yahoo execs were part of the same crop as credit card companies where fantasy and reality were the same thing. So drawn porn was just as bad as the real thing so it had to go.
>>154858508Internet went to shit
>>154859454To play devil's advocate I can kind of see where it might be hard to make a distinction. No not between cartoon and reality, stupid, but it's a lot to keep track of. Especially when references get involved. This is kind of what people got up in arms about with AI. It might not be directly real but there's potential for real stuff to get involved and they would sooner just be done with all of it rather than sort it all out.
>>154858508i dunno, people lost interest i guessngl tho i rly wanna see someone like izzzyzzz do a comprehensive history vid on this (if they wanna go deeper, they can bring this up as the ur-example: https://youtu.be/U5RYoiylEH0?)
>>154859416And the more insistent ones are hard to passive-aggressively deflect
>>154858508If I have to guess, because drawing up a whole customized thing every few days was very time consuming.
>>154858508All fads must die eventually. You have stragglers here and there but the people who made them moved on and the new generation of fans don't care for this stuff.
