Rikki Barnes was a girl without a world, a resident of the Heroes Reborn universe who'd ended up in the 616 after a battle with Onslaught. Things hadn't been great for her: she was homeless, the boy who was the 616 equivalent of her brother was murdered and things in general seemed tough. But she'd met Bucky Barnes, the current Captain America, and reconnected with Steve Rogers. And she'd also formed a bond with Anya Corazon, the heroine known as Araña who'd become her best friend. Anya had become Ms. Marvel's sidekick during Civil War but had lost her powers and had recently been caught up in the Kravinoff family's hunting of spider related heroes.Gravity had joined the Initiative, led Nevada's team the Heavy Hitters and got transferred to the Great Lakes Avengers in his home state of Wisconsin. Firestar attempted to retire during Civil War and had gotten breast cancer but found herself pulled back into the heroic game.
