Why did it fail?
>>
>>154866866
There were way too many characters, time skips that required reading supplemental material and complicated inter-dimensional plotlines. It worked great when the team was basically used as a scout team and most of the missions were comparatively lower stakes, saving a little girl dying, a city block being destroyed, or some supervillains escaping prison, rather than every conflict threatening to destroy all of reality

Unc, its not the 80s anymore.
>>
>>154866866
Lost focus on the main cast in favour of adding more and more new characters the audience didn't want.
>>
>>154866866
went woke.
>>154867105
you just mentioned the good parts.
>>154867310
that's why it failed financially.
>>154867369
I think DC demanded they keep adding the hot-button current characters, which didn't fit. a tv universe needs to be curated. you can't just be like "5 year timeskip, Dick has become Nightwing, Jason arrived, DIED, and was replaced, and Tim is here" that's insane.
>>
>>154866866
It was boring as fuck.

Why do boomers still obsess over muh toys.
Kids ain't playing with toys, they want v-bucks.
>>
>>154867428
I serious doubt DC was demanding they add Super Friends OC stand-ins and halfass the Outsiders.

Miss Martian was wild

Weisman doesn't have an end in mind so even if it got 15 seasons it would've seemed like it failed

Halo..
>>
Nerfing Superboys powers and personality was stupid. Half the time it didn't even feel like he had super strength when all the martial arts characters were pulling off the same moves and not getting hit.
>>
>>154869247
His personality?
What was it?
WAHHHH SUPERMAN DOESN'T LIKE MEEEE
>>
>>154867428
You think wrong. It was all Weisman. He wanted the timeskips and the shifting focus.
>>
>>154866866
They didn't let me lick Artemis tummy
>>
>>154866866
Character bloat, timeskips after timeskips, became a slide show in its last few seaons.
>>
>>154866866
Teen Titans was better
>>
>>154866866
I don't even remember when this originally aired and didn't watch it until after it was already finished. Prob had a shit time block or something. I remember liking it and don't like it ended on a cliffhanger with Wally.
>>
>>154866866
Trying to do too much too fast. It also utterly woked out at season 4. It’s also evident they REALLY wanted to bring Wally back with how much they milked his death
>>
>>154866866
Not enough of that blonde loli.
>>
>>154866866
Because they lost against the chads of DC

>woked
not an argument
>>
>>154869089
Yeah once the mask was off I count my blessings that Gargoyles got 65 episodes minus the season that doesn't exist and ended on both a cliffhanger and a good ending

Young Justice got no closer to resolving anything than it was in season 1 and Spider-Man's ending might have also been a mercy
>>
>>154866866
too woke.
also timeskips didn't help
>>
Okay, but seriously, why was it so insanely, pants-shittingly woke?
>>
>>154866866
Too many characters, and most of the ones they had were just annoying.
>>
>>154866866
It wasn't good and it got more chances than it deserved
>>
>>154870279
>woke
again; not an argument.
>>
>>154870262
There's Gargoyles comics that continue off from Hunter's Moon. The art in them's a mixed bag, but the stories are pretty good.
>>
>>154866866
1. Conner is a pussy
2. who the hell are those black guys?
3 If you compare it to teen titans its just a mediocre show
>>
>>154870895
Indeed not an argument but a fact that did hurt the show since adults are the ones watching it, no kid would watch that crap
>>
>>154867105
>It worked great when the team was basically used as a scout team and most of the missions were comparatively lower stakes, saving a little girl dying, a city block being destroyed, or some supervillains escaping prison, rather than every conflict threatening to destroy all of reality
I think what worked best here in season 1 is most of the lower stakes stuff also were building to something. Season 2 does it a bit as well, like all these villain plots built up to their grand plan. After season 2 it got way to convoluted.
>>
>>154873973
>2. who the hell are those black guys?
Rocket from Milestone and Aqua Lad(he's black due to be black manta's son).
>>
>>154866866
>dude muh conspiration muh teenage drama muh endeless hours of chitchat and teasing things that goes nowhere
It was a total downgrade from Justice League and even Teen Titans. Lacked a lot of action. Then they ruined it all by shoving wokeshit everywhere.
Superhero shows needs action and heroism instead of all that trash.
>>
>>154869089
Yeah Weisman said there'd never be a resolved ending as life never ends, so he'd always slip in a cliffhanger.
>>
>>154870262
>Spider-Man's ending might have also been a mercy
It was pretty conclusive an ending. Sure, Norman secretly escaped with his life, but he as Green Goblin is no longer a threat for at least the time being. About the only loose end unaccounted for is where the Venom symbiote ended up.
>>
>>154874544
>Then they ruined it all by shoving wokeshit everywhere.
The muslim pagan motherbox declaring she was nonbinary was too fucking much
you are a sexed object in a sexed boy
you are female
>>
Also the show essentially repeated storylines

Seasons 1 and 3 are about an evil plot to mind control the heroes
Season 2 and 4 are about stopping a Bad future
>>
>>154867310
This is unironically it.
Mostly girls watched it when it was airing, but all the ad space went to shit boys would want.
>>
>>154866866
can't remember first season all that well anymore but I stopped watching then the weird muslim zombie showed up
>>
>>154866866
went too woke too soon
had they waited few years they would have been fine
>>
>>154866866
TEH LIGHT were boring invincible villains
Season 2 time skip didn't give you a chance to connect with the new team compared to the whole of Season 1

Producers as didio hated wally west.
>>
>>154866866
too little diversity.

Kids watch tiktok and youtube, they're not watching cartoons on tv unless they're a toddler.
>>
>>154866866
My favorite part was when they implied that Orion was an Autist on the same level as that mouth breathing nog child
>>
Toy sales.

Then season 3.

Season 4 was somewhat better I guess.
>>
>>154866866
>4 seasons
>reboot the team every season
seasonal tv writing killed it artistically and everything else is irrelevant.
>>
>>154867428
>you just mentioned the good parts.
>the timeskips and endless new characters like the super friends kids were the good parts
oh no, it's retarded
>>
>>154869259
>WAHHHH SUPERMAN DOESN'T LIKE MEEEE

Until, magically through the power of timeskip, he did.
>>
>>154873973
>>154874533
Also it may or may not be worth pointing out that Rocket's not a dude but she is a single mother.
>>
>>154866866
Did it? I mean, it had two seasons, then came back for two more years later. The problem is every season kept introducing more and more characters. I think S2 hit the sweet spot on this, with the new kids having the Blue Beetle plot, and the old kids having the Aqualad double agent plot. But then you get into the Outsiders and shit, and it's just too much.
Geoforce did nothing wrong.
>>
>>154875883
They're everything wrong with Xanatos with none of his charisma to pull it off.
>>
>>154866866

First season was good. Needed to stick with that first season group and maybe bring in a new character every once in a while. So sort of like how the Teen Titans show was mostly Robin/Grayson, Raven, Beast Boy, Cyborg and Starfire.
>>
Should have made everyone between 8-12 years old, and have them constantly get into sexy adventures.

Didnt this show come out and end before Woke? Did they really bring it back to Woke it up?
>>
>>154880525
>ad hom
>>
>>154869247
To be fair Conner had to be nerfed to a degree otherwise he could solo most of the threats without even throwing a punch however the level to which it was done was ridiculous. They could have easily solved this my having him gradually awaken his powers throughout the series like Clark in Smallville.
>>
>>154866866

Set themselves up for an anticipated return with season 3 after season 2. Returned only to just go full woke with a completely new cast that frustrated and alienated every viewer they had before.

When they made it woke, they destroyed basically all charm the show once had.
