>have the power to control gravity itself
>can feasibly crush people into paste, completely interrupt their movement by making them float away like a balloon, force them onto the ground and make them immobile, control the push and pull of huge bodies of water, make a fucking black hole if desperate enough, etc.
>use it to punch real hard and fly a little. Do nothing else
Fucking why? How does such a cool concept get so thoroughly wasted on such bad writing?

Gravity characters are cursed in MC.Galvatron who is essentially magneto of gravity is a z lister and background candy if anyone remembers.
>>
>>154867054
Because capeshit writers on average have no imagination.

I remember him and he makes me even madder. At least Gravity came around after the entire company’s writing took a huge hit in quality thanks to Yoshida; Graviton has no fucking excuse
>>
>>154867164
Graviton has two problems: he's insane in the disruptive, real world way, and he's explicitly powerful enough to effortlessly kill most heroes. He's in a bad place usage wise.
>>
>>154867122
last thing i remember about him was him jobbing to rogue. man can lift up Manhattan island but a southern slut mutie is too much for him to hold.
>>
I feel the nova's gravity powers aren't used enough. it's usually just fly and white blue energy blast.

I remember rich's brother holding down gladiator's cousin for a bit by pressing down with the weight of a moon on top of her which I found neat.

Maybe in terms of overall popularity, but he's treated as a genuine threat every time he's shown, requiring the big hitters to step in just to deal with him."

>Moonstone beats him by showing him he has no ambitions
>backfires because it forces him to apply himself and become an even bigger threat
That was funny.

I dont know much about him, but did he do that or is this your ideas? Because if he never did that, maybe this is too stressfull for him and his body? Or he is afraid this use might be too dangerous to use.

Then throw him into the cosmos! Put him up against the powerhouses that can withstand him! Silver Surfer? Thor? Dr. Strange? Gladiator? Beta Ray Bill! Put him against Vision, see what gravity can do to a fucking ghost. Have Vision need to balance phasing into reality enough to hurt Graviton but not enough to get his arm yanked off by a huge amount of pressure.

Marvel has so many stupidly fucking powerful characters he could go up against. Multiple immortals or mass-disrupters that could somewhat eke out a fight against gravity powers by just not caring about gravity in the first place. I don’t entirely remember whether Wonder Man is one of those, but fuck it throw him in there too. Have him actually use that ionic energy form of his instead of treating him like a flying brick. Maybe throw him on a Hollywood set— if you want to be a preachy faggot, use him to show the differences between Hollywood crazy and real crazy.

I don’t fucking know, I’m just an anon. I browse this board and grumble about being relegated to fanfiction, I’m no genius. Gravity powers are fucking cool, though, and both Greg and Frank are embarrassing attempts at it.

This nigga types like ChatGPT.
>>
>>154867979
You're right, that's the obvious answer but god forbid Marvel editorial go for the obvious. Keeping him Earth-bound at his power level just begs the question of why isn't he a much bigger deal.

Funny how a character who made a cameo in his book would make better use of gravity as a gimmick just a few years later.

Sort of the opposite, the people who make these characters are usually fans who want to make an expy of an existing character to tell the same stories with personal changes and without copyright issues. Like all the Superman copycats.

So they want it to feel distinct or modern without being distinct or that modern since they can't write what they already imagined "the same adventures of Superman but if I wrote it" if they need to start branching off from punching robots and monsters to use the abilities less as an imitation brand of the original and more in line with what would be practical.

There was even a discussion about this regarding how Kirkman ultimately made Atom Eve pink Green Lantern despite having her protest Rexplode thinking that's all she could do.

I think Sif deserves better.

I hate when the idea of potential becomes "he can be the strongest guy ever and kill everyone!"
>>
>>154871988
It really says a lot about the creative mind when their solution to make a character more interesting is to make them stronger or keep given them new powers. A fucking sword. Really? A fucking sword.

Someday, she will make a comeback.

vhy does he haf und IRON CROSS on his shirtenpantsen we do not like zese racist zymbols in GERMANY
>>
>>154872036
We were saying in the Action Comics story thread she'd have made a surprising twist. Her or Linda. Personally I think Kara was always one of those characters people pretended to like. She was gone for TWENTY YEARS give or take. You Superman TAS fags are basically Linda fans.

That’s not an iron cross, silly. It’s an X.
