>>154868123It was alright. I remember more of it than A Bug's Life.
>>154868799Maybe
>>154868943My parents thought THIS was A Bug's Life when I asked them to take me to see "the new ant movie"
I preferred bugs life but antz was very good.

back when the big blockbuster always had a blist duplicate
>>154869016Did history ever figure out whose bright idea it was to have a head-on collision like that?
>>154869150It was probably a purely corporate reason. DreamWorks/Jeffrey Katzenberg have denied it, but at the same time it's like... Come on. You have to understand the context of these movies. Pixar and 3D movies weren't necessarily the big thing yet. Toy Story was really successful, but it was ultimately still a very new medium. So the idea of having the 2nd 3D animated movie ever was seen as a legitimate and bold thing that would've dictated the future of the industry. But, yes, the idea of 2 up-and-coming companies competing over the idea of making the best ant movie is pretty weird.
>>154869150It's a surprisingly common phenomenonhttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Twin_films
>>154869016You should have spoken more precisely.
>>154869150If I recall correctly someone who worked on Pixar went on to work for Dreamworks instead (or vice versa) when they thought the idea up, so it became a race of sorts...
>>154870379That lists also missing examples. One I know off my head is A Quiet Place (2018) and The Silence (2019)
>>154868123It sure as fuck is better than Panda 2
That termite scene was kind of brutal.
>Who the hell is that?
>>154868799This, half the movie is a whiny jew complaining that he has to work for a living.
I watched once as a kid and found it boring and off-putting.
Weaver is awesome
