I marathoned the first half. It looked nice, the costume design and makeup especially, really impressive and toyetic. The actors are having fun. But the tone and clip and which it moves makes it feel slight somehow. I'll marathon the second half at some point maybe.

It can't take anything seriously despite tonally trying to make you take it seriously. Skeletor is the perfect example of this. Don't give him a raspy filtered voice if he's supposed to be so goofy not even his minions take him seriously. Hell the fucking opening narration is Forspoken tier cringe. Also can't stop talking down to men & boys. And there was no reason to make Idris Elba Man at Arms.

Leaned way too hard into making everything a joke and being goofy, when 80% of the jokes were bad.
