No, but I’m assuming OP is referring to the fact The Dark Knight was once the highest grossing cape film and the first to reach a billion.

The last Batman movie was a 3 hour mystery film made for only adults. They've moved the character from being for general audiences to purely adult stuff in recent years. He's also had some rough media. Peak Batman popularity recently was the era Nolan Films, Arkham games, with BTAS/DCAU nostalgia plus some cartoons in recent memory. The last Batman movie was 4 years ago, no real cartoon that people give a shit about. Games fell off. Think the DCEU's version of him soured people. He's still popular, but in that timespan, Spider-man has multiple well-selling games, animated movie series, live-action movie series, they've really cultivated lots of media. i won't say it's all been good. but clearly it's made people hungry for the character more so than ever.

1. Despite some trouble in paradise with phases 4 and 5 of the MCU, it's still in better shape than the DCEU / DCU. One main culprit being mismanagement from Warner Bros and DC.
2. Despite all the Spider-Kek memes on /co/ and Marvel shitting on Peter every chance they get, he's still draws dimes with the general audience.
3. Production of The Batman Part II is moving at a glacial pace. And then there's talk of Gunn wanting a second DCU Batman separate with the Reeves Batman.

Minor detail, but I'll mention it anyway.

Batman is more popular in the comics, but the character needs a bigger presence in videogames again as well as another live-action movie franchise, preferably connected to a successful DC Cinematic Universe.

The Batman didn't perform much worse than Homecoming, but it shouldn't have taken 6 years to do a sequel.

Spider-Man has a broader base appeal. Where he is weakest, the comics where he is actually in the depths of a twenty year sinkhole under an idiot brain trust, are the least relevant part of the IP. They basically get pulled by the forces around the rump state now. His adaptations generally are well-done and popular.

DC Movies are just an all around disaster zone.
